Fear 'Les' 13th Regional Ratings (Fe. 16-20)
I'd say the same thing about you ranking NL at 3rd. When comparing NL and Bell it looks like this: North has recent losses to Clay, Corbin, and South, as well as a 7 game losing skid that just recently ended thanks to an easy game against Rockcastle (but, for arguments sake, dont even think about that 7 game skid). Not to mention a near loss to what could be the worst team in the region, M'boro. North holds a early season win over Cawood. Bell did about lose to M'boro as well, but they also blew them out once. Bell too lost to Corbin, but do boast a win against Clay, that North cant boast. Bell did lose a early season game to Cawood, but then avenged that loss later in the season. I think if you look at the way teams are playing RIGHT NOW, North should not be ranked ahead of either Corbin or Bell. Yeah yeah, NL has a horribly tough schedule, but I am not talking about that schedule, I am talking purely regional play. Throw in the fact that Bell has Whitaker back. I think Bell gets the edge against North if they play right now. Call it bias.... but the evidence speaks for itself.

Fear 'Les' 13th Regional Ratings (Fe. 16-20)
2-7 could flip flop IMO. When is Bell going to get some love. Call it my bias, but hear me out: 1.) Bell has a 9-3 regional record, with a recently huge win against Clay (a team that has consistently been ranked anywhere from #2-#5). 2.) I also think that to rank Pineville ahead of Bell is questionable, considering Bell has traditionally dominated them on the basketball court. They havent met this season, and I understand you cant base this years rankings off of the past. However, Pineville has none nothing to impress, besides FINALLY win some games. They have lost to Barbourville, just like Bell, whereas they have beaten Corbin, which Bell didnt do. However, Bell did beat Clay, which Pinville didnt do. I think Bell has proven just as much as they have, and considering Bell's traditional advantage over P'ville, I give it to Bell. I think P'ville is getting way too much credit, although they are arguably a top 5 team as well. 3.) They are on a 6 game winning streak, and will most likely improve that to a 7 game win streak, and 10-3 in region play if they can knock of Knox (which I think they can do). 4.) One of their regional losses was against Cawood, which they avenged later in the season. The other 2 losses are against B'ville (your #2 ranked team) and Corbin (which is also arguably a top 5 team.) 5.) Whitaker is back.... and that makes Bell very very dangerous IMO. Bell has a tough two games after Knox. They have a rematch coming against B'ville, and I think that will show how much they have really improved. Then they end the season with SL. That should be ugly. IMO Corbin and Bell are arguably top 5 teams. I think its pretty ridiculous that North made such a huge jump. I believe they too are arguably a top 5 team, and could probably beat Bell, but they dont deserve that ranking right now IMO. I think Corbin's early season loss against Cawood, and their recent loss to Jackson is hurting there ranking way too much. Considering how they played SL and the fact that they just recently beat NL (your #3 ranked team), as well as the fact that there is alot of parity in this region and Corbin is the defending champs, I think they have to be in the top 5. It will be interesting to see how the Corbin/Clay game plays out. 1. SL 2. B'ville 3. Clay 4. Corbin 5. Bell 6. North 7. P'ville However, like I said at the start, 2-7 could flip flop. This is just how I see it, based on the reasoning above.

Miller to visit Louisville
As far as the Miller topic goes: Get back to me when you have a list of all the schools that have offered Miller!! I doubt UofL or any D1 schools is among them!! That is where the buck ends. I hope I am wrong, and I mean that as no knock on the kid. IMO its a shame, because he is very talented and I think deserves a shot. It is not going to happen though. Congrats on a visit..... but I will bet that is where it ends. SO QUIT HYPING IT UP! About the above quote: First off.... one must ask for forgiveness before it can be given. I never asked you so dont flatter yourself. Second off...... I dont know where I wronged you to begin with it. Oh yeah, I didnt. Third off..... I dont think you need to be quoting Bible verses to me about pride and humility. Arent you the one who, while attacking bellalumni40 said, and I quote, "I hate to sound arrogant, but...." and then preceded to talk about how great you and your family were at sports. I think the verse you need to be quoting is "Judge not, lest you be judged" and "Remove the log from your own eye, before you attempt to remove the splinter from your brothers." Finally..... I have never taked credit for any talent that I have been given, just for the hardwork that I have put in to get to where I am, and where I hope to be one day. Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am the last person to say that "I" have accomplished anything. To be honest I am the first to admit that I am not the best athlete in the world, but have worked extremely hard and had the help of numerous other people, including and above all, the Lord above. Trust me..... I am not trying to impress you, so lets get this straight. But when you go off trying to hype everything up, and then attack my posts and opinions with personal jabs and comments, you can expect to be attacked back. I simply expressed an opinion that is in no way influenced by the fact that I am a Bell alumn. I have been the one guy on here from Bell to give Miller all the credit in the world. I have went so far as to state that I think he deserves the oppurtunity to play D1. I never made this a personal matter, yet you, for some reason, wanted to attack me personally. Its a shame. Guess I shouldnt have expected any less coming from a former Jacket though. They have never learned to take a loss from a Bobcat with any class. And now that I have a clue who you are, its very obvious what your personal problem with me was. 21-0 and 49-14 couldnt have been fun. Pretty sad you are still so bitter about that some 5 years later.

Best student sections
I would have to disagree, although just slightly. In all honesty its probably a tie. I think alot of the things you said about SL's student section could be applied to Corbins as well.
-
Best student sections
Never seen CCH's student section. But South Laurel has the best student section in east ky by far. It may be the best in the state. The "Cardinal Crazies" as they call themselves, are one of the best. Last season they absolutely took over Rupp Arena.

Miller to visit Louisville
I was thinking the exact same thing. I dont mean to call anyones credibility into question...... but something is fishy here. And for the record..... when I discuss D1AA basketball I am simply making a distinction between major D1 basketball programs and lower D1 basketball programs. Sorta like in KY HS basketball when you have the All-A classic. There is really no A,AA,AAA,AAAA in KY HS basketball, like there is in football, but we use those classifications to divide the teams.

I believe you need to get real my friend. I havent once talked FACTS about Miller except for 1.) my personal observations of his ability which arent even facts to begin with, they are just opinions, and I have also talked 2.) the FACTS that I know concerning "recruiting process" in general. Both of these things I can apply to Miller's personal recruiting situation and not have to know diddly about his personal recruiting situation. As far as Miller's personal recruiting situation goes....... I am going off what has been posted on this board. But once again I will state......... no one poster on this board has UNBIASED, OBJECTIVE, HARD FACTS FROM A CREDIBLE SOURCE (such as a parent, a coach, a recruiting database, a newspaper, etc etc etc) about Miller's recruiting situation. Until we hear from one of these, then its all hearsay as far as I am concerned. Dont call me out when you are the one making vague generalizations about Miller's specific situation.... like "well this school is recruiting Miller hard" and "this schools has said Miller will start right away." As far as I am concerned all that is just bologne until you back it up with some proof. Show me a scholly offer from UofL and I will eat crow all day long. Shoot..... show me a scholly offer from Eastern or Western or any D1AA school and I will eat crow. If I am sooooooo off base to say what I have said, then show me a complete list of all the schools that are recruiting Miller, and then a complete list of all the schools that have OFFERED Miller!!!! Back all this stuff you are asserting with some HARD PROOF. Until then, you are the one who needs to get real my friend, and quit over hyping this kid. One a side note..... I dont know what your problem is with me. But you need to quit getting so darn offended by my posts. You take all this wayyyyyyyy to personal. Chill out man.

Miller to visit Louisville
Once again...... it STILL remains to be seen what schools are really, truly interested (and my interested I mean willing to give Miller a scholly). Alot of this vague "recruiting hard" talk has been floating around, but I have yet to see an OBJECTIVE, CREDIBLE SOURCE with HARD FACTS state who exactly is recruiting Miller, and how hard they are really recruiting him.

Corbin in 06'???
Rockcastle will beat Corbin by 21+...... mark it down. Rock returns virtually their entire team, and will be a top 5 3A team easily. Dont know where you are getting that they lost alot of good players on both sides of the ball. To say that Corbin will have more athletes on the field then Rock is pretty laughable as well.

Miller to visit Louisville
We have had this argument a hundred times. Its all if's, and's, and but's! I'm a firm believer that the truth usually lies in the balance. So here is the balance of this whole argument. One side says.......If Miller played on a better team he wouldnt get guarded as heavily so he would be able to light it up! But using that reasoning you could also say that........ if Miller played on a better team he wouldnt neccessarily be the go to guy and would also be playing against tougher competition, and therefore not lighting it up as much! That argument works both ways, and its so "hypothetical" that I think its best to just leave it alone. I would be willing to bet that whatever team Miller played for he'd be a big time contributor and the primary 3 point shooting weapon, but I'd also be willing to bet that if Miller played for one of the top teams in the state (who actually run an offense and play some high quality competition) that his shot attempts and shot percentage would go down. He would lead the team in scoring some nights, and some nights he wouldnt. He would have some 30+ point games, and some nights he would score in the single digits. I dont think he would have accomplished what he has if he was playing for a team like SL, and that is for various reasons, none of which reflect on Miller as a player, but reflect on M'boro as a basketball team. However I also wouldnt say that Miller would just be a "role player." The fact is Miller plays for M'boro and has accomplished a tremendous amount considering his situation, regardless of competition. However the fact also remains that he has accomplished this against sub par competition. Spin it either way you want, but those are the facts.

What constitutes "recruiting hard"?! I will be curious to see how all this plays out, exactly what schools offer Miller, and where he ends up playing college ball at in the end!

I would have to agree. They dominated the 13th region for quite a while, but this season they would be lucky to even make it out of their district.

Miller to visit Louisville
I sent the email through BGP. I tried to PM it to you but your box was full. I really hope you get the email eventually though. If not, well then its just water under the bridge I guess, cause there is no way I could regurgitate what I wrote last night into another email or PM. Anyways, back on topic. Does Morehead St give scholarships? An honest question, because I thought they were a different classification then D1AA, at least in football. Maybe it is different for basketball. Also...... have any of these D1AA schools issued an official scholarship offer? An honest question. One more honest question. There was mention of mid major D1 schools recruiting Miller. Have any of those made scholly offers, and if so what teams are they? I think if Miller wanted to play D1A or D1AA ball the best thing he could do is get his first scholly offer from one of the major D1AA schools in KY (WKU or EKU) or from one of the major D1A schools in KY (UK or UofL). If those 4 instate schools arent recruiting you hard and offereing scholarships, then the out of state schools most likely wont either. However, its a little late for any of this. This is stuff that should have been done his junior year. That is my big hang up...... it is sooooooo late. I just dont see anything substantial coming from all this hype. Once again, as I have said a hundred times, I hope I am wrong, because I think Miller deserves a shot, even though I dont neccessarily think he is at that level. As for the bolded statement. "Historically solid" doesnt mean anything when referring to what Miller did against them. You have to look at how good those teams where when Miller lit them up. I think that both of those teams are on par, talent wise, with the rest of the 13th (besides SL of course), and that is not very good. Not a knock, dont take offence and get all defensive, but Miller is was not facing those historically great teams of Clays past, or of North in the past few years. He was facing what Clay and North had this year, and that isnt the best competition in the world. Also, on the bolded statement...... I find it funny how when SL first entered the 13th at the beginning of this season everyone was so down on them, and very critical of them saying that it wouldnt be a cake walk. Not sure if you were one of those, but now you are using that fact that SL and Corbin reside in the 13th to argue that the 13th is a solid region and that Miller has played against some solid competition. Very funny. The fact that 2 13th region teams THIS SEASON made it to the Elite 8 LAST SEASON is irrelevant, considering that SL wasnt in the 13th last season, and SL didnt represent the 13th when they won the state championship. Not to mention the fact that Miller hasnt even faced SL, probably the best defensive team in this region, and arguable on of the best in the state.

Miller to visit Louisville
I'm still not sure how serious of a look he is gettiing from Pitino and UofL, and I'd be curious to hear some HARD FACTS from an UNBIASED, OBJECTIVE, CREDIBLE SOURCE on this topic. A visit is a big deal..... but until I hear of a scholly offer or a personal preferred walk on invitation, I wouldnt say L'ville is giving him a "true" look. Name one mid level D1 school, or any D1AA school that has offered Miller? I am not being critical...... just realistic, and curious if there are any, because I truly dont know. All the schools that have been mentioned on this thread as having interest in Miller are either NAIA, D2, or D3. I'm truly curious too see how all this plays out. I am one of the few Miller critics that thinks he can play at the D1 level, despite his limitations (namely height and HS program). I am not saying he will be a star or a major contributor...... but I think he deserves the chance. But I am also one of the skeptics who feels he probably wont get that chance due to many factors. I hope I am wrong. I agree that where ever he goes his game will have to improve, just like any other high school player going to play college ball anywhere. I too think he should look at this from an academic and job oppurtunity perspective. Just like an earlier poster said, if he gets the shot (regardless of whether he ever sees the court or not) he should jump. Its a win win for Miller if something big like this opens up. It opens up many many doors as far as future jobs go, it gives him the chance to learn the game from some of the best coaches as well as to see basketball at its highest level (which could help him if he wants to coach), and it also allows him to get an A+ education for FREE which = no debt after college. Any person would be stupid to turn that down, or to not follow through with it. I have said before that I hope he gets the shot, I am all for ANY and ALL east ky kids getting a once in a lifetime oppurtunity like that. It is also logical to assume that if he shoots as good as he does now against the competition he plays, that if he reaches the D1 level, he could possibly find it tough to shoot as well, since he will playing against much bigger and much better athletes. I mean I see it boths ways, your way and Jim Schue's way. Miller could improve and become and even better shooter, or he could find the competition too much.

On the first bolded statement..... I find it especially fishy I have never heard of ya, especially if your recruitment was in the last 5 years. Id be more then happy for you to PM me and let me know about all that, so you can put my doubts to rest. I'd even issue a public apology for doubting you if you are indeed telling the truth. Oh well. And by the way, I wear a size 11, not 13, so noo the shoe doest fit, at least not as good as it could. Just read my email. On the second bolded statement, I totally agree.

Per KHSAA. Any info or stats? Game was at Cumberland. Must have been a defensive battle.
