  1. Yes it did and it was a very nice crowd to boot..
  2. Yeah me too...If Elliott would of played defense it would of made Highlands job that much easier. Seriously, the kid was pretty much done after the 1st series. And it was a loooooong series..... He would of been too tired to play defense and would of been useless on that side of the ball.
  3. Yeah when I was watching it last night with you could see that it was going to be a very physical game from the get go. Sure Highlands had some players involved in a little extra pushing/shoving and I'm positive that was seriously addressed this morning at 9 a.m.
  4. Great Job Birds......Man the future looks bright for the Birds at QB. Maybe even next year. McCoy did a very nice job tonight running and throwing the football. He also has a cannon of a arm. X has some very nice players. #50 is an absolute stud, and seemed like he was in on every tackle. Great night to watch some football.
  5. I totally agree. I think he was forgetting about Central. I'm sorry, there aren't many teams out there in 3A and I don't care how smash mouth of a team you are. You won't be able to run with Lou Central's speed.
  6. Come on..... Watching Bengals games will make you not think straight... I hope your right though.....
  7. I don't know......Ryle's 95 squad was pretty good. They beat up a state finalist Highlands that year in Union. Beat them up pretty bad....
  8. Even if Evan didn't do anything wrong he still represents Radford University. An educational institution is taking a chance on this young man. He shouldn't have put himself into that situation in the first place. I really don't want to hear that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It still happened didn't it!!!! Things happen and I'm sure this young man will right his ship.
  9. I don't want the coaching staff to do anything else. Maybe I worded it wrong. The kid should of made a better decision(sp). I was only responding to the poster saying they have never seen a Manual player playing unsportsmanlike. There were plenty of other plays as Henry stated but that's why we have Refs on the field of play..
  10. The one play that comes to mind the other night was the late hit out of bounds. The Highlands receiver was a good 1 yard out of bounds when the Manual player pushed him in the back with 2 hands this after chasing him to the sidelines for about 5 yards. It was a very, very late hit. Luckily the HHS receiver wasn't hurt. He was fortunately caught by a couple of other players. If they wouldn't have been there, no telling where he would of ended up. Maybe on the track!!!! Now, I know someone had mentioned that the player was taken out of the game immediately for this play but it was something that could of been avoided. My point is, it wasn't like this play was a bang, bang play and the defender didn't have time to react. That to me would be deliberately unsportsmanlike.
  11. CovCath seems to always play well at LexCath...But I don't think they play well enough this time around to beat LexCath. Is LexCath's QB back from last year?
  12. He did for being his 1st ever QB start at the Varsity level.
  13. Boyle ran a fake punt up some 28 or 35 against Highlands in the 2003 finals. Mueller didn't run with his tail between his legs the next year. All he did was make his team better in 2004 and shut out Boyle at Highlands and then beat them in the Finals. I guess Matney isn't the coach I thought he was.....
  14. I know where you are going with this and it would of been a HUGE coaching mistake putting Patick Towles in the game last night when they thought Bardo was hurt. Wouldn't have been a good idea......Hopefully this wasn't the idea you were entertaining(SP)
  15. What, Highlands putting 45 up on St X...... Just trying to stir it up a little bit.
  16. They didn't tell you....Highlands sent the Freshman to play. No just kidding. That was a butt whooping. I think 50 was in the 1st half:scared:
  17. I agree that Pat has made huge strides with his game. It's a good thing, but I think Ty Siedl will be the #2 guy....Period!!!
  18. I also want to extend my thanks to Tom New of Newforms for printing the three part card that they were handing out last night. It's nice to have Tommy as part of our football family. Thanks again!!!!:thumb:
  19. It kind of reminds me of another highly touted player in NKY right now. They will go as far as he carries them but unfortunately it won't be enough to get it done. Great player but.............
  20. See it's working....That is half the battle. Making you think you are faster than the other team. Drink more BLUE Cool Aid!!!!!!!!:thumb:
  21. No they won't. Who would they get that would be better. Firing is not an option if Louisville has anything to do with it.
  22. Why don't you post a picture of the Jersey you have. Man, you want to talk about turning this site upside down. That would get you some serious detention....LOL!!!!!
  23. Wow....That's going to be tough. Highlands hasn't change their Jersey's that much over the last 15 to 20 years. They have changed a little bit but I'm not going to even give this one a try. Highlands has been known to mix in some older Jersey's with newer Jersey's, so it's hard to say. Heck, this could of been worn by a Freshman player that was passed down the ladder. Whoever guesses this one obviously has some serious inside info....
  24. In 87 we had CovCath down 20-7 in Park Hills with a little more than 7 min to go in the game and lost in the last min on a 2 point conversion. I think this game was one of last 5 p.m. games ever played at CovCath. Or at least it should of been the last game played at that time. I will say that ever since that game, CovCath went on a pretty impressive 2-3 year run.
