I have talked to Mayfield's trainer and he said that the doc. is putting Lawson in a hard cast and as long as they wrap it up then he can atleast try and play. Lawson is a very determined kid and loves the idea that he can play again and hopefully help mayfield make it to the top.

McNutt is still uncertain for friday's game as of tuesday but will prolly be more of a closer game time decision. The long snapper problem should be fixed by having the offensive center Trevor Williams snapping. Lawson will be in a hard cast and they will be able to wrap it up and let him play. It will look more like a boxing glove on his hand. Armstrong is pretty much at 100%.....the only thing is that he is not very used to playing the whole game on both sides of the ball due to that shoulder but in the playoffs he has been doing it with some occasional breaks on D. Kemp should be fine as long as he keeps hydrated. Another thing is if Murrell keeps running the ball like he has the past three games then i believe it will be hard for anybody to contain him. i think that it is crazy that the top two teams in 1A are on the same side of the bracket come playoff time.

Yes Andy started practicing Monday and says he is ready and feels good. It will be a close game with both teams having solid defenses. If Mayfield can stop the run, I believe that the will have a good chance of winning. I say 17-14 Mayfield.

I have heard from a very reasonable source that senior to be Nick Walter has been practicing the QB position all summer and will back up Logan Armstong so if Armstrong needs a break Walter will go in for him because he most likely wont come out on defense. Walter will also be playing some WR and start Safety on defense.

Crittenden County is Away as is Caldwell County, and Calloway County is home. For the other games the Alliance Bowl, Ballard, Graves, and Fulton City games are home and the Paducah, Fulton County, Marshall County games are away. We will have 5 home games and 5 away games next year.

If anybody wanted to know i thought i would post Mayfield's schedule for 2007.. Week 1: Alliance Bowl-havent worked out who all is playing each other? It will be difficult to replace Shelton, especially with his running ability, i believe there is a decent replacement in senior Logan Armstrong with his great armstrength although he was the leading tackler on defense for mayfield, and it would be risking for him to play LB and QB he would still be a good replacement. It will be a nice thing to have senior RB Andy Trevarthen in the backfield from the start of the season till the end without any injuries on the way. With both recievers being seniors, Caleb Gariscia and Chance Sherill, for mayfield there are still some decent replacements in senior Nick Walter that is talented and has experience and a talented sophmore Xaiver Shelton.

I say NCC wins just because i want to see Mayfield beat Danville and then have a rematch from last year in the title game. NCC 27 Somerset 14

I say it will be a close one for the first half...but like the metcalfe game mayfield will come out in the second half and put up the points to win.:ylsuper: Mayfield 24 Danville 14
