  1. Playing tougher competition makes one tougher.
  2. I believe that it is the 4th light but it is at the intersection of Carol Malone Blvd and rt 60. At the caution light there will be the Raider mart on the right. You will turn right on Rt 1 towards Hutchins.
  3. I do know that there were a bunch of us walking the fence during the Russell/East game. But I would rather walk any way.
  4. There is a fair bit of visitor seating depending on how well Belfry travels.
  5. I agree. It could as easily be a Breathitt/Sheldon Clark semi. Everyone needs to take it one game at a time.
  6. I think 7 may be a bit high. Most of the time there are 1 for the cheerleaders and 2 for the players. If the band travels then another for them.
  7. You are a brave man. I am a fat boy that likes food. But i do appreciate the offer.
  8. You still buying me that Hot Dog?
  9. Easy mistake to make.
  10. No relation at all that I am aware of. Although Mike does have a son on the team it is not Tyler.
  11. If that is true that is a TOUGH way to get moved up.
  12. Here is my take on the game. Take it for what it's worth. This game is just a bragging rights game. Much like the Russell/Ashland or the Raceland/Ashland game. This late in the year with Russell getting ready to face some pretty stiff competition in the playoffs we need the key players to be 100% healthy. If that means they set out this game and we lose it the so be it. In the greater scheme of things Russell has to start the play offs in a few weeks and that is what they play the game for. To go as deep as possible into the playoffs and for a shot at going to the carpet. For the Russell fans would it be worth getting the star players hurt worse just to win a local rivalry game?
  13. I think she left out "curled" in her description.
  14. I always heard the saying " I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken" Just getting you back for the jab you made earlier. Turn about is fair play.
  15. and what toopic would that be?
  16. Sorry but I have no affiliation with Ashland. I was speaking of my Devils. Again I would love for my Devils to have moved up and played in this area 4A district. There is none of those teams that are on the same level as Mason. Although it would have probably hurt them come playoff time. You only get better by playing better teams. Thank goodness for the addition of Simon Kenton, Mason, Lawrence and Raceland to replace Estill, Powell and Morgan. They are a step up in competition.
  17. If you and I are talking about the same play I really doubt that the play would have resulted in much more than a 15-20 yard gain. I don't think it had a chance at going for the 70 yards or so that it would have taken him to score. There were players in his area. I also don't think that Mason beat themselves any more than Russell did. But each of us is allowed their own opinion. Hope to see all of you in a few weeks at the Hank.
  18. But your team is struggling to make the playoffs with only 4 teams in the district. How pitiful is it when the teams that make the playoffs have a record of 1-7 or 2-6. Ashland played in a tough district with Johnson Central, Bryan Station, Woodford Co and Montgomery. How would your team or any of the other have done against that competition?
  19. http://www.dailyindependent.com/localsports/local_story_293011607.html They have the 3A District 7 play off games broken down as #1 Russell playing #4 West Carter #2 Mason playing #3 East Carter. According to the KHSAA the rankings are: #1 Russell #2 Mason #3 West Carter #4 East Carter How hard is it to look things up. Earlier in the week the ADI stated that West was locked at 3 and 4 would be determined by the East/Lewis game. 1 and 2 were a toss up between Russell and Mason.:creepy: Am I reading something wrong? Doesn't the 1 and 4 play and the 2 and 3 play and the winner meet from that?
  20. Yep. Just had the states longest home win streak snapped by a 6A team. If you are implying home cooking....I don't think so.
  21. Yep and we will welcome you with open arms.
  22. Let's not start counting our chickens before they hatch. Russell has to beat East and Mason has to beat West before the Russell/Mason rematch. They should both be wins but you know how fickle high school football can be. If both teams take care of business then I agree the rematch should be a dandy! Wow I agreed with OldRambler......:jump:
  23. What does Russell have to do with a Belfry/SC thread? If they even have a remote chance to play each other again both teams have several more games that are more important. Give it a rest
  24. Russell's fixes a few of the mistakes they had against Mason. Russell by 2TD's.
  25. Wow I have yet to see you say anything positive about any team that wins. It always seems to be luck, players out, players hurt or bad coaching etc. Why not congratulate a team on a win and stop with all the excuses? BTW even though this is off topic. Belfry was licking their chops for us last year too. :sssh:
