  1. Talking to several folks last night and told them they had better beware of MC. Congratulations to Coach Jones and the Raiders
  2. Thank you! Should have gone over to the gym tonight.
  3. This is going to be a wide open tournament. Don't know much about the two Jessamine schools. I do think that every one of the eight teams has a shot at winning this thing. I just love this time of year.
  4. I could use some help. If anybody has a Lincoln and/or East Jessamine Roster and any other information I would be very appreciative. You can PM me and I will get in touch ASAP.
  5. Isn't that the 47th District?
  6. It was at the end of the half and it was not like he backed up just to make the shot longer. Best I can remember he was being guarded fairly close and dribbled back to create some space and put up a shot just before the horn. An outstanding performance by Dustin. SW has 2 players who are capable of putting up big numbers, but you never get the sense this team gets selfish. A real pleasure to watch.
  7. Flynn did coach tonight in PC's 2 pt loss to Casey Co. John Perkins did not play and Perkins and Floyd did not start. Will we ever really know what happened?
  8. Bardstown Somerset St X Trinity Rockcastle Bullitt East Belfry Owensboro Cath. 32pts

  10. First let me say that I, in know way am making excuses for Southwestern. Coach Anderson and the players, past and present, do not need me to make excuses for them. I just don't appreciate when people make uniformed comments about things where they don't know all the circumstances. 1999 Bullitt East 4 seed vs. Southwestern 1 seed. 1st round of the playoffs. Bullitt East 19 Southwestern 15, in one of the best football games I have ever witnessed. Bullitt East did come in as a 4, but lets look a little closer. The only reason being, that you previously mentioned a 4 seed rarely beats a 1 seed. That season B.E. had 2 or 3 starters that were suspended for a couple of district football games that led to defeats. Maybe they would have lost those games anyway but most people who knew what was going on would say that the suspensions were a factor. Maybe some Bullitt East folks could tell us for sure what may have happened. Had it not been for that situation the SW vs. BE game would have probably been for the Regional Champ. Bullitt East went on to win the Region Championship against a Lincoln Co. Team that SW handled pretty easily during the regular season. Again I realize that if; "if's and but's were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas." No one is more dissapointed that SW has been knocked out of the playoffs, but a wise man once said, "unless you win in Louisville in December, the season ends the same for every team." I am not saying that to try and sugar coat anything, but it is High School football and while yes, you play to compete and hopefully win a championship, there are very few people who can say they played in a state championship contest, or better yet won a state title. I admire all those who coach HS sports because they do it for very little money. It is their dedication and desire to see young people develope into young adults, that coaches a very special breed. You will be hard pressed to find a more hard working coach than Dale Anderson. He does not need me to defend him, but I am going to say a couple of things on his behalf. Yes, several Warriors have gone on to play football at the next level and that is due to the fact that Coach A and his staff work hard to make sure their kids get recognized by the colleges looking for football players. Not many coaches put that kind of time and effort into seeing that their kids get the opportunity to play after high school. Besides football players, I have witnessed Coach A help non-football players get into college on scholarships. I have watched him help kids who play other sports who wanted to play at the college level, get aid and or scholarships, so they could continue their playing careers and get an education. I can also tell you that when the helmet comes off for the final time, Coach A has always been there for his players. I have watched as kids who played many years ago have come forward for assistance and Dale has done what ever he could to help out. I have seen him answer a phone call only to take off to be with the family of a player that has suffered some sort of crises. I may be out of line, but I would suggest that if anyone would try to remove Dale Anderson as Head Coach of the Southwestern Warriors they would be in for a battle of "Titanic Proportions." I believe the Warrior Nation would stand behind Coach A if this type of scenario ever developed. I also think there would be several former players and families of those players from outside the Southwestern Program who would defend Coach A. Dale Anderson and his wife have made sacrifice after sacrifice for the players, coaches and families of Southwestern Football. They do so out of love and a passion to see kids become successful members of the community. I have gone on way too long and do not wish to discuss this topic any further. Dale Anderson and his staff have my support as a proud member of the Warrior Nation. Thank you to Coach A, his beautiful wife, and all those who have made being a part of Southwestern Football a wonderful experience. "SOUTHWESTERN FOREVER"
  11. Warriors simply did not get it done. Seven turnovers, that is never good. BE is a good team and I think they will give Boyle a good game next week. Loved the atmosphere and admire the support that the Chargers get from their fans. Rakes is an outstanding football player. He made several plays on defense, rushed for 170 yards and had 30+ yards rec. Southwestern had a good season and I want to thank all the Seniors for everything they have put into the program over their careers. Looking forward to next year.
  12. It is a real shame that people who have no idea about what goes on, make assinine comments.
  13. I think I'll try to make it! Just a little over eight hours to KO! :fight:
  14. Why do games have to be high scoring to be exciting? No offense could mean great defense. Call me old fashioned but I love a good defensive football game. I agree with you Mr. No Name that it will be low scoring, but boring, no way! It should be a real defensive battle and should be a great game for an "older" guy like myself.
