Dustin Fothergill scores 44 points on ten 3 pointers as the warriors roll. He put on a show going 10-18 from behind the arc including one from 30' right before the half. Jonathon Edwards was honored before the game for joining the 1000 point club. Wayne is young they started a 7th grader and 3 sophomores. They will be hard to handle in the future.

It's going to be a loooooooong time before Wayne will be hard to handle.

They will be respectable next year and will battle somerset for the region in two years.

It was at the end of the half and it was not like he backed up just to make the shot longer. Best I can remember he was being guarded fairly close and dribbled back to create some space and put up a shot just before the horn.

 

An outstanding performance by Dustin. SW has 2 players who are capable of putting up big numbers, but you never get the sense this team gets selfish. A real pleasure to watch.

I saw a video of the shot today. While dribbling Dustin took a jab step to create separation so when he pulled back from the jab step it appeared that he was stepping back. He then side stepped and jumped and burried the shot. The Wayne County player was in position and challenged the shot.

I remember that game. I think Coach Woods was stinging from the loss in the region the year before when South played the point guard from Florida. Wayne was focused that night.

I was stinging from it until South won it all last year and dominated Wayne this year. And then, add Corbin's big win and Lynn Camp's win at Wayne and I guess I'm getting over it. But Wayne played a heckuva a game that day against South. The better team won.
