Rocks on the march down to the BC 22 yard line. There are going to be a lot of sore necks from watching these teams go up and down the field

Offensively BC came to play but the defense hasn't yet got off the bus. If they can stiffen up in the second quarter things should get interesting. Trinity's kick off return team has been spectacular.

Bogle is playing a great game so far. Pass - from BC 40 or so TD Boone Co! 14-14

WOW! Maybe another OT in our furture? This game is stacking up to be as good as the first. I wish I had gone to it now.

Now i feel like an idiot. I can't believe I didn't mention him. MitchelJet has been one of if not the best kicker Dixie has ever had. l think it will be quite some time before a player of his caliber kicks the ball at Dixie again. He was money in the bank. Thanks for all your effort and hard work Mitchell and good luck where ever you end up next. :thumb:

I was actually leaving that honor for his father first, but you are correct. Stephen played his heart out each week for the red and grey. We will be hard pressed to replace him, he was a true team player. He played both middle and outside LB over his carreer as well as DL and even Full Back on O. He was a true workhorse for this program over the last four years and I for one would feel negligent if I didn't say thanks. There are others to speak of too, so keep 'em coming. If you set 'em up I'll try my best to knock 'em down.

Nice win Blue Colonels. You were clearly the better coached and better played team tonight. I thought the 3-3-5 defense was going to be your undoing in the beginning of the game but it ended up being the perfect weapon. Nice adjustments at half and Dixie had no answer. Furnish and Buckley had a great night running the ball and Isler threw a nice ball too. I hope number 85 is OK. Nice season Red Colonels, now it's time for us to thank the outgoing seniors for the excellent careers they've had and cheer on the Blue Colonels in the next round. I hope Marty is ok, he wasn't his usual self at all but even so I never expected him to come out. Detmer was triple teamed all night but we never really took advantage of it enough to force CCH to change. Koski, Freeman and Eastham, it's been a joy and you will be sorely missed next season as will all the departing seniors. Joey had a decent game, but the play calling didn't make him a factor one way or the other, overall though you had a nice season son so keep your head up. Good luck to all of you.

Not coming from HS it isn't, he's a Blue Colonel fan thru and thru, though he is much more willing to support and acknowledge good play by others than most.

Though most people don't realize it, I'm a winner tonight just by showing up. I'm an alum of CCH My kids are all alum's of Dixie. Long story, but I have no hard feelings toward my alma mater whatsoever. Actually it's quite the opposite. But thats another story. Now back to the game! Go Colonels! 1-2-3 Dixie Pride.

I'm not disputing or acknowledging the accuracy of your statement, just saying that it's funny that things like that always seem to be brought out or come out at the most inopportune moment. It was more of an ovservation about life than a dig at you HS. I know you and even though you are a BLUE colonel fan first, also realize that you have connections that many people do not. I don't doubt for one minute you've heard that. I've heard similar statements of the past 5 years myself. Don't know who starts them or why, but I'm guessing there must be some measure of validity to them or they would go away. With that said I wouldn't be willing to put money on the idea, if I had any to bet or if it was legal to do so on here that is.

Please, do tell more. I always find it funny how these types of things always seem to come out at the most inopportune times such as the eve of the biggest playoff game in NKY. Are he and Holly buying a new house in Edgewood or Villa Hills If he needs any help moving I have a bunch of friends with pickup trucks that would be more than happy to help..... as long its within the borders of Kenton Co. that is.

Oh now I remember, they should have been up except for a few bone head blunders. How could I forget? Regrettably the pain of that evening is coming back to me in vivid fashion. We gave the game away that night as much as HHS won it and most honest HHS fans would admit it. I was confused and thinking of the Beechwood game that we blew also. Luckily though our teams seems to have put those less than appealing times behind us. Sorry about the mis post, I promise I'll try and do better next week.

Your memory seems a little short too, wasn't Dixie up on HHS at the half in the first meeting?

I guess that depends on how they loose. If it's in a blow out vs. a down to the wire. I would think the same would hold true for CCH. I do know one thing though, if you're a Blue Bird fan the last thing you want is for either team to win convincingly.

Sometimes you just wish the edit button lasted for an hour instead of a few minutes.:lol:

So I guess by that logic only teams that have been there can get there. I t's settled. CCH and HHS have nothing to fear then. In light of this overwhelming logic I suggest that they both take the week off. Next week too if need be.
