Any truth to the rumors of Flynn moving on and a former tomcat coach coming back to the fold?

With the new recruits Ashlands getting anyone could coach them.

GIT Coach Hicks has been thru anger management treatment and has been on his best behavior and by the way he would like to be the next coach of the tomcats.

Id love to see a shot clock in high school but most of the 16th region coaches would be lost.

With Sutton and Smiths help Coach Hicks has settled into being a fine coach.

I can tell you this Jim Hicks will be the next coach at Fleming. The powers to be a GC want him gone and Fleming wants him bad.

Great post but you cant leave Kyle Bair (10 points on 54% shooting) off the freshman/8th grade team.

Look what that core of players accomplished on the varsity level and rickyp's right i do look good.

Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer but if Matt can score 13 points on just 5 or 6 possessions wouldnt it be smart to let him keep shooting. He scored so easy I dont see why he is not allowed the freedom to do that all the time. Turn him loose and let him play! Congratulations to Rex and the Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about Matt Thomas?? He took over the game for about a very short time and then the decision makers seemed to forget about him until the biggest shot of the year.

Who will win next year?? Oops my bad Ashland refuses to play the Hill next year! With Ashland crying the loudest about moving the district this year due to money issues. Why would they turn down a great gate. They hill gang will play anytime anywhere. Maybe if promise to leave Euton, Bair, or Jackson home the cats will come around and let their boys compete. I bet Mcdavid, Wilcox, and Thomas wouldnt back down given the chance. The tradition is dead!!!!!!!

Then why did they push so hard to move the districts due to money issues? It they want to make money Im offering up the best gate that they will have all year. Plus if you really believe in the cats you could get the money plus a win, plus you get to keep little old Rose Hill in its place. Let's play next year! Ive been told by good sources that Rose Hill has been told that the Tomcat schedule is full until 2012. How can this be true?? I know the mighty tomcats played at least one private school this past season. Why wont they schedule the hill? I know the boys at the hill will go for any type of arrangement that the Ashland people would offer. Win or lose Tuesday night lets get something done for the future. If the focus is on raising money for the schools the tomcats are turning down a great gate.

Ashland better do there stomping now because they are getting worse every year. The kids play as hard as they ever did but they seem to be missing something. I would have never thought that I would see the day that Ashlands future hung on one player. Drew Mcdavid is keeping the whole program afloat. Are the other players just that bad or is just giving one player the freedom to play just apart of the tomcat system? They better hope he doesnt get in foul trouble or the dickie and dirk show will be shut down for the year!!!!

even this year will be a struggle for both to survive and advance. the view will give boyd all they want and the boys at the hill will put enough points on the board to make ashland sweat. lets play what if: owens goes nuts and quits or gets kicked off. it could happen he doesnt guard anyone and if i were moore and blanton i wouldnt put up with doing all of the dirty work and not getting any shots! what if ashland has a bad shooting night. its MOST certainly has happened this year. the hill has not been blown out of any game and has shown there best offensive displays against the better teams. they will put at least 60 points up on the board if they rebound that would be enough to win on a given night. remember the districts arent a series. both teams just have to be better on ONE night. how much of a crowd would would that bring in. maybe not as much as ashland boyd but the buzz around the region would be heard around the state.

rose hill defeats river valley 68-50. the hill broke open a close game by holding river valley to 2pts in the third quarter. highlights the hills defense and rebounding dakotah euton 20 pts 19 rebounds kyle bair 17 points chad jackson 14 pts michael fuller 9 points and great defense congrats to the royals who improve to 9-5

people (haters) can be as negative as they want to be but the royals are on the rise. a great team effort was displayed on the court yesterday as every royal contributed in some way fashion or form. im sure there will be bumps in the road from time to time but i can tell you that the kids at rose hill are only going to get better and better
