  1. Yes that is a very astute comment. But there is only one problem with it....the KHSAA stand for Kentucky High School ATHLETIC Association. Not acadmeic.....I love it when somebody makes such a informed statement. Obviously Louisville voters are well informed too...... Maybe if you put the KHSAA in charge of academics we would be better but at least we could be no worse.....
  2. Yes that is all true. It is written down and those are the rules, so we know that it is the truth, and nobody would ever break the rules. No even the elite privates.
  3. Looks to me like the publics are doing just fine in Tenn. BTW thanks for all the Work SEBell....you Da Man!!!!!!
  4. It is not about competing....it is about everyone playing by the same rules.
  5. What you don't trust us? Maybe, in December I can visit you in Louisville during the football championships?
  6. Try not paying your taxes...LOL....and the local Shire Reeve will be around to see you....Oops I mean Sheriff!!!
  7. Honestly? Nothing personally, but I am just having a high ol'time messing with all the NKY and Louisville folks. I love playing devils advocate. In fact I have some very close relatives who graduated from Trinity.
  8. I have no reason to fabricate anything...come down to the school and you can interview the kids....all seniors and Juniors....and you can see for yourself, we will go out to lunch and have a good laugh about the whole thing. And when you get right down to it leadership has nothing to do with it. I am sure this will come as a surprise to many of the elite private schools but us hillbillies can read and so can our kids....that is how they know. they have seen what has gone on for years.
  9. I know it is best to prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Now the privates are hoping for the worst and threatening to wildly recruit any kids who can play. Huh.....so nothing has really changed!!!!!
  10. 1) Do not under any circumstances call me a liar. 2) The leadership they have is solid and well grounded and fair.
  11. I find it cuious that everyone is talking moving.....I aside from all the prop 20 stuff and entertained by this. People talking about moving. If I had a child who was an standout athlete, I would not move him. I would rather teach a valuable lesson on loyalty. Obviously that would be a new concept to many displaced Yankees in NKY anyway.
  12. Listen if they do that, they are cutting of their noses to spite their faces. There will still be championship games to be played and people from those schools will still support them. Kids will still have the fun playing in a cahmpionship game. I assume that most of the people posting here are adults. Lets remember that sports whether it is football or volleyball is for the kids, it is there to enrich the high school experience. It is only when adults get involved that there is touble. I asked several of the kids that play football at my school and they had no idea what it was. When it was explained they all seemed to say they thought it was fine with them if the privates left.
  13. I think you are selling the kids short and their parents too. Not everyone can just pull up stakes and move to an "elite" private school. That is that wonderful elite attitude showing through.
  14. So are the Republicans in Kentucky...but look what party is sitting in the Governors Mansion. But that is not working out too well either.
  15. I personally know how four schools voted....all county schools and all in eastern KY....ALL VOTED YES
  16. You very well could be right but coaches will find the good kids where ever they play...ie. Tim Couch
  17. I would not be surprised if this went through.....I was reading on another thead what the Guru said about this being un-american. If it should not pass though the Board of Controls, and the BOE, then that would be truely un-american. Obviously (right or wrong) the majority rules, and in this case the majority has spoken. Should the other not follow suit, then that would TURELY be UN-AMERICAN.
  18. That is really classy...just another reason why the Public schools without the silver spoons, are looking seperate. A message has been sent, from both sides. Although with the BOE making the final decision and the thinking is that is won't pass, with all that has been said and the true feelings of elitism exhibited by the privates, I think that it is obvious that the two entities can no longer co-exisist. SEE YA
  19. Nope, that is not the point, although many are trying to make it that. You know as well as everyone else what the point is.
  20. If that should happen then alot of people will just say.....See Ya!!!!!
