  1. I hope you’re right. I think it’d be nice to host a powerhouse like Beechwood
  2. I was surprised by your selection in that one as well :lol2:
  3. I don’t think it is. Per the Crittenden Press, it’s scheduled for Nov 3rd.
  4. 27 years. I hate to see him go but I like the staff he’s lined up to take over.
  5. I know I didn’t! Glad Coach Starnes was able to go out with a district title in his final season
  6. To expand on this, would the KHSAA allow City, County and Hickman to merge strictly for football?
  7. :lol2: At one point they were down by 22. And the game took 3 1/2 hours
  8. At least as far as competitiveness goes.
  9. I believe they said Crittenden’s Ethan Dossett tied the state record with 6 TD receptions and his 347 yards receiving (13 receptions) set a new state record. Ballard’s Drew Cox had 13 catches for 321 yards and 3 TD’s.
  10. Yea, you are. Keep deflecting. Maybe instead of singling out the kid on here. Show up after practice on Monday and tell he and his parents what you think of his performance. I bet ya won’t :thumb:
  11. I’m sure you aren’t. But it’s a high school kid. No sense in putting him on blast on the Internet. You can try and deflect this back to me all you want, I don’t mind. But I’ll always call out a cowardice adult singling out a child, knowing they would never make a peep in front of the kids parents. It’s a team loss that was caused by more than a kid just being beat on a few routes.
  12. You do know what single means right? 1 person. As in they were blaming the corner specifically. Offense is at least 11 players. Annnnnnnd I said just as much on the O stalling out. As in, the O is just as responsible as the D giving up TD’s. :thumb:
  13. Sorry that some of us don’t get behind your way of thinking and singling out kids when it’s a team sport. But whatever makes you feel better about yourself :thumb:
  14. Isn’t that purpose of a msg board? If you guys just want to sit around patting each other on the back and trashing kids amongst each other, couldn’t you just do that at the Majestic?
  15. Win as a team, lose as a team. I'd say it's just as much on the O stalling out.
  16. Putting the loss on 1 kid and calling him out like this? Distasteful.
  17. Hard to stay in a game with 8 turnovers. I was really hoping the Rockets could've pulled the upset in Starnes last year.
  18. Nah. It's a very nice school with great programs, extra curriculars, and great athletic facilities that the students would've never had, had they stayed separate. It's just not a football powerhouse.
  19. Do you think it's more about (in those towns you mentioned), if you're good at football you end up at the smaller school with history most of the time and the kids that are less talented going to the other school? If I were a parent of a stud player and I lived in Graves or Nelson County, I'd see to it that my son went to Bardstown or Mayfield.
  20. He was a special talent. I always felt Haskins seemed to always be at the right school at the right time. Like Ballard with the Arnold brothers, Lone Oak with Robinson and the WR (can't remember his name right now), McCracken with Hughes and the rest of those first 2 teams. He just always seemed like a cat landing on his feet, always leaving just in the nick of time.
  21. It's a win/win. If they win "look at us (even though they're not on the team) beating a 6A school." If they lose "well it's a 6A school and they got all these numbers to draw from and we only have 250 boys in our school."
