Futher proof that the 10th Region is wide open, big road win for Campbell County. Whoever puts together a run and gets hot at the right time will win the region. Must throw Campbell into the mix of teams that have to be considered a contender.

As much attention as this JV game has received in this thread, it better be a great game or those coming to it will not get the moneys worth. It has also stolen the thunder of the play in game for the varsity action.

Thanks Option Right, I just had a discussion with a St. Patrick follower that argued that the game was at Bracken County. I said you will really feel like the Igloo if you show up at Bracken cause more than likely the doors will be locked as the game is played at Paris. Talk about being left out in the cold:laugh: Hopefully this person took my word.

Thanks for the link above, although I am baffled by the rankings in the 10th on the girls side in particular with St. Patrick at 4th and over on the boys side in the top players listed, there is no mention of Stephen Mason.

Agree with Ky Orbit, maybe Zollo, but the other 3? That is hilarious and I can't believe they are mentioned in the same discussion with Lofton, Miller, and Middleton.

And the reason it hasn't been back there since is because they had problems in 1969. No way a regional tournament could be held there in 2010 or beyond.

You just supported my reasoning above about the better team wins no matter what. In the 80's there were some epic finishes between Maysville and Mason County. Mason County won 4 times in the 80's and certainly we got better when we merged in 92. Prior to the merger Maysville we all know had some great teams, great players, and in result great Tradition. They were the team I am sure teams across the state had their game with circled on the calendar either to get up for a big game or to some teams say we are going to get slaughtered in this one. Pendleton had some fine teams back in the day, 30 some years later they were phenomenal in 2005. Simms and company if the kids work hard will be very good in a couple of years as they are showing signs of growing everyday. As far as your Vegas odds are concerned, they really couldn't tell you or I about the teams in the 10th going head to head so if I had to use those to bet, I would just keep my money in the pocket. The only tune I would be singing is we won away from our court the last two years and as far as your court, heck build a bigger gym and we'll tip it up there. Your gym couldn't hold a crowd in 1969, doubt it could in 2010.

Home court doesn't serve as a major factor if you are considering that Mason beats Montgomery on their home floor 2 years ago and Mason beats the beloved Cards at NKU last year. Also 3 years ago, GRC wins it at the fieldhouse. Just further supporting my claim that the better team wins the game, and also supporting my claim to a certain degree on the advantage issue, but no guarantee. Really GS it doesn't matter to me whether you agree on anything I say and really I don't have to explain much further on my certain degree. To appease though, surroundings yes is a advantage. Getting back to what papa said, you ought to be licking your chops to get back to the fieldhouse cause that is the last time GRC won the thing, on Mason County's court, which still puzzles me as to why you always dispute or make a big deal about the advantage. d-dawg, if you blindfold yourself in a familIiar home there is no guarantee that you won't bounce from wall to wall or bang your head against something. Much like what I have always said about home court, there is not a guarantee.:dancingpa:p:walk:

Your exactly right, as far as fans outside Mason County licking their chops to get back to the Fieldhouse. Papa, I can remember in the 80's and briefly in the late 70's the success the other teams around the region had by winning regional crowns simply because they were the better teams whether Mason was the opponent or not. I find this cry hilarious, I also find out more and more about who are fans and who are not. Research will show you that Masons first regional crown was 81. They won 4 times in the 80's and before that there were zero regional titles. Simply amazing how the best team always wins:popcorn:
