These are always tough, competitive games. But this year, BG is just too good. Purples win 38-10.

Like most big/important games, look for turnovers and special teams to be a big factor. X's special teams have improved, but X seems to have at least one turnover a game. Must take care of the ball on offense and be opportunistic on defense. What is the attitude like in Bulldog land?

I would say no. With Walker being injured during the season I would be willing to bet that the staff is just focused on him playing offense and returning kicks.

Xavier, was stating that while X could slow down one of T star offensive players there was more than one star player. Also, injuries happen in games and if that slows down a team then that is just the way it goes. So I digressed from the thread.

After one season of a new coach at Boone Co. what are some positives with the staff/team? What are some areas of focus?

You mentioned that the seniors are 11-0 in the playoffs, but how many of the seniors were key contributors in those 11 victories? I want believe the hype around Manual right now, but until they can prove they win a game like this I'm going to say that T wins by 10.

Wakefield is going to make plays, the key for X is to make sure that he doesn't beat them on offense and in special teams. Coach Walsh and Co. tend to make good adjustments from the first game with an explosive offense. With X's offense as close to 100% as it can be, it will be a difficult night for the Male defense.

Wouldn't expect anything less.

I would imagine that they will both be ready to go next week.

Was this the idea the state had when they formed this district?

With winning on a last second TD against Manual and beating Cincy X, how is the mood or confidence level around the team now?

Good post AT! The one thing that has really impressed me with this team this year is that with all the adversity they have faced this year, in every game they have made a run to put themselves back in the game. Some of those opportunities did not get them a 'W', but they have always been right on the edge this season. Even the BG game they had an opportunity to get within in 1 TD and they could not convery in the red zone. I feel that this team and coaching staff are on the same page now. I don't know if they will play until December, but I don't think too many teams want to see them right now. The two question marks during the season have been QB play and defense. I believe the QB play has been answered, and the defense has been a little bit better each week. With the defense they just can't miss tackles, that is what will hurt them the most. They're going to blitz, but the secondary has to be sure tacklers when it happens. Good luck Tigers! Remember November, Play in December!

How are thoughts on Male? I still think they're the best in 6A, but with the loss to Manual and the 6 point win against CAL, has their perception taken a little bit of a hit?

Is Fern Creek still a Wing T team?

Revenge Tour! On a side note, I remember when I went to the St. X youth football camp back in '96 or '97 and at the end of one of days we watched the highlight tape from the previous season. One of the highlights was from the St. X/Fern Creek game and the song that went with the highlights was The Offspring - Keep 'em Seperated. It's funny, I was just thinking way Vandy has not recruited the Louisville more than they do? I know that White from T signed with them last year, but can't remember a player before that.

X wins. Don't know much about Fern Creek this year, but Fern Creek hasn't challenged X since the mid-90s. Offensively, I believe there will be a heavy dose of Walker and Davis. I believe the X defense will cover over there performance from this past Friday and handle whatever Fern Creek decides to throw at them. Roll Tigers!
