Kentucky 80 Tennessee 78
I am guessing you didn’t tune in to UK last season when they were worse. Those warts were covered due to a better offense… this year, neither the offense or defense is worth a darn.

Federal Prosecutors bring charges against 26 former and current NCAA players for fixing games
Gambling on sports has existed for centuries. Legalization has made it more visible and accessible to the general public, which may create more opportunities for illicit activity. At the same time, there are more safeguards and detection mechanisms in place than ever before. A scheme like this could have easily gone unnoticed in a bygone era.

As for the game, that was a rough watch for the most part. LSU is not very good.

Ha. I don’t know if I feel better or worse now.

Chandler made up for the horrific lob with that last inbound. 30 wins is still alive!

Chandler may have thrown the worst lob pass in the history of basketball. That had to be off by 7 feet. Not sure I’ve ever seen anything like that.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers
There is a difference between being good and there being no path forward to compete for a title. I believe in Tomlin's (and Harbaugh's) case, a change of scenery is good for both sides. How many of you work at jobs for 19+ years? Things get stale, eventually.

To clarify further, I believe you mean serving as a head coach for one team, and not ever seeing that again. The tenure of NFL coaches has never been very long, but outliers exist. Andy Reid is currently at 13 years with the Chiefs. Age would be the only thing preventing him. He was at Phildelphia for 14 years. McVay, Shannahan, and McDermott are behind him at 9 years. The first two seem to be in a safe position - and super-young by NFL coaching standards - but these things can quickly flip. Point being, I do not believe it is out of the realm to assume others will get to 18+ years. Commonplace? No. But it never has been.

2026 Pittsburgh Steelers
To your #2, I assume both will be on another team's sideline sooner, rather than later, so that would not hold. And in fairness, neither of their NFL tenures began with Baltimore or Pittsburgh, respectively.

Yeah, he is a soundbite coach-speak type of guy. Raheem Morris is another name that comes up for TV spots. Now THAT I can definitely see.

I know many think Tomlin will go to TV, and maybe he will. But he does not strike me as a riveting listen/personality.

You left off the top program in the Commonwealth, Murray State (#60).

NFL General Discussion - Wildcard Weekend
Those three points would have been nice to have from the first quarter when the Jags went for it on 4th and 2.

NFL General Discussion - Wildcard Weekend
This is new age coaching for you. Not to mention Buffalo’s pass defense is one of the best, but their rushing defense is one of the league’s worst.

NFL General Discussion - Wildcard Weekend
Jacksonville’s Etienne is averaging 12.0 yds/carry. Tuten is averaging 12.8. Each have carried the ball 4 times. But by all means, let’s prove that Lawrence is the guy and that we can pass our way to victory!

Tough start but UK got things rolling. Can’t get to 30 wins without yesterday’s victory! I don’t know about Quaintance, but I could see Lowe calling it quits for the season to focus on the shoulder.

Bears 31 Packers 27 (Wild Card Playoffs)
It was rough down the stretch. How Chicago managed to get the ball back with about 3 minutes left and a timeout is a failure on the part of Green Bay. Even if they got nothing out of the possession, they should have gotten the clock to at least the 2 minute warning with Chicago having no timeouts. But, coaches love to prove they’re smarter than conventional wisdom.

Mississippi State at Kentucky Predictions/Updates
I know it means little, but Lunardi has UK has a 10 seed today. If we’re being real, UK’s best win was a hard-fought loss to UL. If the Cats lose to Mississippi State (would be consecutive losses when a double-digit favorite), its curtains. They would be staring at an 0-5 start to conference play.

CFP Semifinals: #1 Indiana vs. #5 Oregon
Oregon gift wrapped a lot of tonight’s points to IU, but yeah.

Miami 31 Ole Miss 27 (CFP Semifinals)
My post was in jest, but you are correct. He was collecting a bonus, but it was from LSU each round Ole Miss advanced.

Real talk. Lane Kiffin was smoking a cigar last night, wasn’t he?

While I believe you are correct, if this thing craters (which is why Saturday is a must win game), it could force the hand of UK’s administration sooner rather than later. You’ve seen it in football this year where schools have less tolerance for poor performance. It’s important to note that while UK ended up as a three seed last year, they still finished in a three-way tie for sixth in the SEC. Unless the script is flipped, finishing in the bottom third of a much weaker SEC in year 2 is not ideal for job security at the supposed premier program of the conference. Let’s cross our fingers for an Arkansas-like turnaround, similar to what they had last year.

Didn’t think we would be in “must win” territory two games into the SEC slate, but here we are.

Yeah, that was rough.
