This morning Federal Prosecutors in federal court in Philadelphia bring charges against 26 current and former NCAA players for working with fixers to rig the outcomes of both NCAA games and games in the Chinese professional league. 

The article lists the names of 4 of those charged- Simeon Cottle (Kennesaw State), Carlos Hart (Eastern Michigan), Oumar Koureissi (Texas Southern), and Camian Shell (Delaware State) who played for their current teams in the past few days. Legalized gambling, isn't it great.

Gambling on sports has existed for centuries. Legalization has made it more visible and accessible to the general public, which may create more opportunities for illicit activity. At the same time, there are more safeguards and detection mechanisms in place than ever before. A scheme like this could have easily gone unnoticed in a bygone era.
