  1. David denied it a few day ago on facebook. Other than that, not hearing anything Facebook
  2. Video posted on his facebook blog where he denies the Bourbon rumor but says he is moving out of the mountains. Facebook
  3. The kid from Corbin started the fracas, everything from that point, while unfortunate, was reaction. No need to indict an entire program over one incident. Those kids made mistakes, and I hope they are dealt with, but it really isn't anything more than that, IMO. I have nothing but respect for Central, and to call them dirty or anything resembling that doesn't match my observations. And I've seen them quite a bit. Nobody from EKY has seen Central more over the past decade than Belfry. The two have played in some very intense games, with high stakes. I've never seen the kids from Central be anything other than good sports and competitors. They don't play dirty, at least not from what I have witnessed first hand. I wish I had the picture, but I remember both teams coming together on the field at WKU for a prayer, post game following one of the heart-breaking losses. I think it was the 2011 game that Central won 15-14.
  4. Mayfield's record for the last decade is incredible. I don't know how it could've been any better. A little info on Belfry's run over the last 10 years (2009-2018)... 119-24 Overall Record 73-10 at home 46-14 on the road 37-6 playoff record 28-2 at home 9-4 on the road 7 consecutive appearances in State Championship game 4 Titles 3 Runner Ups
  5. Thanks for the clarification. I was thrown by it. I don't read the legalese too often in this type of thing, and it was obvious that the inclusion of the word deviate was there to differentiate it from just sex. The logical conclusion I suppose was that in this case it was probably oral, and possibly anal sex that drew that categorization, but I wanted to know for sure what it meant, legally. Now I know. Regardless, the whole thing makes me cringe.
  6. So what is considered "deviate sexual intercourse" under the law?
  7. This is tough. In any given year a particular county could make a claim, but over the long haul, a few counties would continue to be at the top of the list. The OP asked "who would win" and so I looked at it as a strength ranking, each team beaing able to win against the team below them. Given that parameter, my top ten would be 1. Jefferson 2. Campbell 3. Kenton 4. Warren 5. Boyle 6. Graves 7. Pike 8. Johnson 9. Daviess 10. Pulaski I really struggled with 2-5. Either of those 4 could make a claim against the others, and would likely have cycles at the top.
  8. Did you contact DNR? If not, you may be in possession of an illegal set of antlers. Just throwing that out there. As for the Euro mount, you can youtube this method, but here is what I do. Skin it first, and do everything outdoors. Trust me. I use a turkey fryer and a shallow pot or the side burner on a gas grill. Pot needs to be just big enough for the skull to fit in. Fill the water just above the skull, leaving the antlers exposed and bring it to a slow simmer for a couple hours. You'll have to keep adding water and I usually add a little Dawn liquid. After a couple of hours, I use a pressure washer to blow off the meat and skin (wear goggles and rain gear ) and then back in the pot. Every 45 minutes or so pressure wash again and repeat until you have all the tissue off. You may have to pick with pliers, knives etc. in some places. Once all the brain matter is out, and all skin and meat are off, let it dry well. Then I paint it with a bleaching agent you can get at a beauty supply store to whiten it. It will take several coats. I can't remember the name but I have it at home and will post later and it is dirt cheap. You can achieve the whiteness you want with as many or as few coats as you like. A lot of really nice looking "paint dip" skulls I have seen online. Looks like an easy method too.
  9. Come on. Kenton would be very tough, but wouldn't touch a Jefferson Co all star team.
  10. Here is a slow motion version. A little fuzzy, but gives a different look. Facebook
  11. Is this pass interference: Yes or No? This was a controversial play in last night's Belfry/Boyle game. I didn't want to post this in the game thread.
  12. That was a war and as high school goes, this was big boy football. Kudos to my Pirates. Belfry's staff had them ready, and made some defensive changes this week that made a big difference. And the players gave it their all and left it all on the field. Can't ask them for more than that. The Pirates really dominated the game for the first half or 3 quarters but gave Boyle too many gifts and you can't do that with a great team. Dixon was hobbled much earlier than his injury on the field. He wasn't 100% and even though he did a pretty good job covering Smith for the most part, he did not have the wheels to cover him 1 on 1 later on. But who does? Belfry moved the ball very well on Boyle, better than I expected actually. They got their yards, but the fumbles were killer. They had a problem at times with the QB/FB exchange. Not sure if it was a case of Browning riding Coleman longer than normal, and pulling it out later than normal, or something else. I credit Boyle's defensive quickness for that. Congrats to Boyle County. You guys are a solid team and you made the big plays you needed to make to advance. Very characteristic of Rebel teams I've seen in the past. Well coached, hard driven, fundamental football. Good luck moving forward. All in all a great atmosphere and game between two big time programs and staffs. Players on both sides made some outstanding plays and the fans were entertained.
  13. I’m pretty sure no live video. If Boyle doesn’t have their own radio crew then tune in to wdhr.com and listen live to Bobby Norman and Steve Mickey.
  14. Both these teams have been ultra successful, especially since the turn of the century. In the past 18+ seasons, from 2000 to the present, here are some numbers... Boyle County Record 218-40 - 85% Playoff Record 57-11 - 84% Regional Champs 9 State Runner Ups 1 State Champs 7 Belfry Record 218-47 - 82% Playoff Record 65-12 - 84% Regional Champs 13 State Runner Ups 4 State Champs 6
  15. From a competitive standpoint, I'm not sure this is the best matchup these two could have had over the years. But I sure am fired up about it. This is why you play the game, matchups like this. Atmosphere should be rocking on Pond Creek tonight. I hope Boyle brings an army of fans. Like you, win or lose, I'm ready for this. The excitement for this game rivals some of the old games vs. Russell or Breathitt in the playoffs. It feels an awful lot like the night Somerset came to CAM Stadium as a heavy favorite in 2010. Safe travels to all the Rebels tonight. Get there early. Have a hot chocolate and a popcorn, and be sure to try a Mildred May hotdog. Go Big Red!!!
  16. Hard to express how much I am looking forward to this game.
  17. Other than Belfry's shootout victory, this was my favorite game result of the weekend. I'm so glad Scott County won and knocked FD out of the hunt.
  18. Welcome to BGP. Rash is special and is is the definition of power. He will fit in so well at Army. Congrats to him on such a tremendous opportunity. Here is the block you are talking about if I did this right. Dagen wa 40 yards downfield and made a devastating block. Shows his athleticism and drive to outrun the RB and give this kind of effort. Garrard County High School - Dagen Rash highlights - Hudl
  19. My mind is still reeling over that Lawrence County / Western Hills game. I listened to the last half of the 4th quarter and it was very exciting. I'd like to see whether any KHSAA playoff records were set in that game for yards or points. The Breathitt / McCreary game was puzzling for the opposite reasons. Surprised the Bobcats struggled with McCreary to the extent they did. The playoffs start to get interesting in the 2nd round and forward, IMO. This week there are several games that look to be very interesting. Tilghman vs Elizabethtown and Russell vs Waggener are games to watch. LaRue vs Caldwell is interesting after LaRue's performance last week, even though Caldwell is still a favorite. The really big game is Belfry vs Lexington Catholic, and should be one the better games in the 2nd round in any class.
  20. I've been scratching my head all weekend about this one. Anyone know any more details?
  21. As for the game, it was a typical first round game, and I mean that as no disrespect to the Lions of Garrard. Belfry had far superior speed in this one, and if all else were equal, that alone would have made a huge difference in the outcome. Garrard was big up front, and they were well coached and played hard, but in the end they were just outmatched on talent. The Lions had some success moving the ball, but were foiled by turnovers and they gave Belfry a short field a few times which was exactly what they didn't want to do. It was good football weather, as a chill was in the air, and when the playoffs start, it just feels different. I really love November in Kentucky.
  22. Injuries certainly have been a tough obstacle for the Pirates. That's especially true at the linebacker and fullback positions. Seems like a revolving door at those two spots and both are critical to Belfry's style of play. Mounts, Cook, Lowe and Fields have all spent time on the DL at linebacker for the Pirates, and now they have a couple of them back, but they are still missing a couple. No word on who will be healthy for this Friday. Belfry has used more fullbacks this year than most teams have used in their entire backfield. If I remember correctly, it was Hensley, Mounts, Coleman, Blankenship, Webb and Warren. Maybe another one or two, lol. If it is a knee as it appeared, then I think this is the 3rd time Mounts has injured that knee over his first two seasons. That has to be concerning to the young man and his family.
