Heckuva series by the Cubbies. Great to have Soriano back in the lineup, he really is THAT important IMO. Can you think of a better three man rotation in the league than Zambrano, Dempster & Harden. Once Woody gets back rolling, we will be all set. The Cubs may not win the WS, but it's going to be a whole lot of fun watching these next couple of months. I've been disappointed enough to know not to get my hopes up, but at least I get to root for a team that has the talent and potential to take it all home.

Can't imagine why enlistment numbers are down. Feel sorry for Campbell, really hope he gets another shot at the league in 2010.

The problem is the government told him one thing and did another. I have no problem with this if Campbell knew going in that no matter what he would have to serve before he could head to the NFL. The issue is that he was under the impression that if he worked his tail off and was drafted, he could stay home. So he goes out and does just that, and now they tell him "sorry, we're changing the rule." That just doesn't fly with me, BS move by the Department of Defense IMO.

It sounds like basically the Army let him enter the draft betting that he wouldn't get picked up. He did, and now they go and change their policy. Very weak move on their part.
