I was referring to the championship game. I'm not real famaliar with the programs history prior to the mid 90's but I know they had some good teams in the past. I believe they were ranked #1 around 1985 but failed to get out of district. People are still second guessing Coach Mantooth's decision to start Ben Stallings in the semifinal game in 1994. He might of been their #2 at the time, but he could hit 90 and spent some time in the Red Sox organization.

PRP motavated by embarrasing loss I hope they get to as well. I don't think Apollo has ever been to the state final game in baseball.

As an Apollo fan, I hope that Henderson goes another direction. Carlberg is 13-10 in 2 seasons leading the Eagles. Not too bad considering that he is running much more of a passing system than did Dan Gooch. I've also been impressed with the support that he has shown for some of the other programs at Apollo. Its not uncommon to see him at the basketball and baseball games. I know he has required his team to attend a few of the baseball games.

I'm pretty sure Zach Osbourne is still playing baseball at PRP.

Nathan Humphry threw a one hitter for the Eagles. Henderson Co. is next up, first game I believe is Wednesday. Eagles and Colonels split a pair of games this season.

I don't see any rocking chairs, but otherwise it very well could be.

1988, not that it really means anything. They are in probably the worst position of any team in the state. Even if they manage to beat St. X or Male, they would have to also beat the other team the following week to make it to the title game. I don't see any Lexington team capable of doing that either.

^ For those that might not know, Cave was the 1st commitment that Coach Weis received not named Golic this season. He seems to be gaining a reputation as being every bit of a hard worker at recruiting as the Notre Dame coaching staff. I think most of those who follow Notre Dame recruiting as expecting a commitment from Newman this weekend or very soon after. IMO it would be a bad sign for the Irish if Newman has not committed by the end of next week. He should know all that there is to know about Notre Dame by now.
