Out of shotgun, Ellison just overthrew Emongo for a touchdown.

Injury timeout for PRP. SC started the drive out of shotgun always fun when they incorporate a play or two here and there not in their wing-T. Ball at the PRP 41.

PRP was able to drive a little bit. Their read option plays had some success but the drive stalls with a blocked field goal. SC ball at their 30.

SC will have the ability to score on almost any play they want on offense. I think they'll go heavy with the fullback in drive two.

PRP punts after getting one first down. Timmy Emongo takes power to the house on about a 70 yard run. 7-0 SC earLy.

Defensively SC is coming out with a few new faces. I like that idea. PRP at midfield after one play.

Two completely different matchups. SC scored with little resistance each time they touched the field vs BG. I think it'd be highly competitive. There is definitely not a 21 point skill gap between the two teams.

SC and X would be a one possession game going either way I think. X offense isn't crazy, but they have a good defense. I would say it's be a 35-28 type game. Oh yeah we'd lose like 77-28 to CAL lol. We have good players on defense they just don't consistently play well together I don't know why.

I think we'd put up some points on CAL. SC offense > Owensboro Owensboro defense > SC That state championship would be a very interesting matchup.

SC's biggest issue on defense is letting up big plays on 3rd/4th and long. BG didn't easily march down the field the majority of the game. SC had them in many 3rd/4th and longs and SC only got a stop once in those situations. Same story with Franklin. The flyers couldn't really move the ball but on 3rd and 14 they always got the 1st down. GC scored 0 on the full SC defense 7 on a half and half unit and then 14 on the JV. I say let our guys play man with a Saftey high. Everytime we go into 3rd and long we bring a 3 man rush with a very soft zone. Our deep guys on a 3rd and 15 are sinking 20-25 yards back, and the opposing teams are throwing it 12-14 yards down field to open space which is why we keep giving up first downs and points. I'd like to see different looks from Monty once we face teams like Woodford, Collins or Highlands later in the year. How much RPO does Owensboro typically run? That was the only thing SC couldn't figure out all night with BG.

Scored 51 though....this SC offense is a headache for any team in the state which I assume is the reason we're #1. A lot of time for that to change ! We go @mad central after this week.

This is a ranking I can fully agree with. Atherton may be over Woodford, we'll find out Friday.

Ehhhh not Necessarily true! I responded that a prediction of GRC beating GC 42-14 may be flipped. At the time, I underestimated truly how bad GC was.

I think this one will be over pretty quick there's just no way to stop the Scott County offense for PRP. JV guys need some work this is a great game to get some. Cards 63 PRP 14

The teams combined for 1,024 yards with SC having 544 and BG having 480. After watching it back today I have to say it's one of the most entertaining high school games I've seen in a while. Great players making great plays all night for both sides.

PRP makes the trip to Georgetown Friday night to take on the Scott County Cardinals. Last season, this was about as one sided as it gets but PRP has shown signs of improvement this year. Last week, PRP took on Franklin County and it was decently close for a while but the flyers broke it open towards the end of the first half and never looked back. Outside of a few really nice skill players, there is not much talent on the team yet. Scott County traveled to Bowling Green to take on the purples in an absolute thriller. The teams combined for one stop all night, and that came with under two minutes left in the 4th quarter on a Red Owens sack. SC won that battle 51-44. Timmy Emongo had 3 touchdowns and 325 all purpose yards and continues to make the case he is Mr. Kentucky. Way had a big night at the fullback position and it was the second year in a row the purples could never find any consistency on the defensive side of the ball. PRP defensively has struggled giving up 56 to Raceland, and Franklin County in back to back weeks. Scott County has not scored points on only one drive all season. That's a pretty big mismatch. PRP continues their gauntlet schedule, SC looks to improve defensively. Should be a fun one. Thoughts?

South Warren will make it harder to score for BG, but they will have a much easier time trying to get stops. BG 28 SW 27 Blocked PAT is the difference.
