Well, we know who will get ball first. McKee will have to script up something creative here. No, I don’t mean start out in shotgun and hit a 7 yard curl then do a sweep to Emongo. That’s expected at this point. First play needs to go to the fullback on their dive, fake power play. Trust me, it’ll work. Scott County rarely gets bullied. They’ll get the stops they need to force Woodford to throw. McKee knows better than anyone… stacking the box does little to none if the rushing attack is that good. They’ll bring the 3 man rush as usual.

The 7-1 Cardinals are traveling to Versailles to play the 6-1 Yellow Jackets. The series with the new district is split through two seasons. A couple years ago the Cardinals blitzed on the road winning 36-0 to take the district. Last year, Woodford got their revenge on a game winning field to take the district. This game has MASSIVE implications for November. Whoever wins will secure home field for at least two rounds of the playoffs, and the RPI boost won’t hurt either. The question for Woodford will be how to contain Junior Timmy Emongo. Timmy had four touchdowns in only 7 or 8 touches last night as the Cardinals only ran 26 total plays on offense in their 49-21 win over South Oldham. Scott County will have to figure out how to slow down the air attack by Woodford. Two years ago they dominated, but last years performance was anything but. Luckily, the strength of Scott County’s defense is the secondary which is led by JuJu Harmon, and of course, Timmy Emongo. This is a top 15 matchup in the state and possibly the #1 vs #2 in 5A. Does Scott County take the district for the second time in three seasons? Or does Woodford claim their second district title in a row?

Crossing has hit a low I didn’t expect this season. You have a Mr. Kentucky caliber back and can’t put up more than 16 on SK? Yikes. I had them winning 4 or less, but this is just absurd.

Collins won’t truly be competitive until they can find a fix for their defense. It’s what has got them killed every year once district play has begun, since the new alignment.

Nice win. Our offense didn’t get many looks as they scored a bit too fast on the majority of their drives, but it was a good showing in anticipation for the biggest game of the regular season next week. Our starting defense played that run heavy style much better than they did vs Mad Central, holding them to only 7 points. Onto Woodford.

Not a great showing by North if they want to be taken serious with the big boys of 5A. Wins a win at the end of the day.

Following the South Oldham turnover on downs, it only takes Scott County two plays to go 90 yards. 35-13 Scott County late in the 3rd quarter. They can’t figure out the fullback tonight.

Hasn’t been officiated great this drive. First the non facemask that saved South Oldham’s drive, then a fumble with a clear recovery by Scott County canceled by the ruling of the runner down. Looks like we’ll have to respond.

Interesting. Scott County was just called for a face mask on a play where our camera had a perfect angle on the tackle. Objectively a face mask did not occur. Oh well.

Our QB has dropped the ball for no reason while under zero pressure twice tonight. He has recovered both at least. 21-13 halftime lead for Scott County with South Oldham getting the ball once play resumes.

South Oldham kick return touchdown. There was a bust on that play I assume as the ball was kicked short and directly to a player. The kickoff team for Scott County didn’t seem to notice where the ball had gone until he was already past them.

21-7 Cards after a Timmy Emongo wheel route goes 60. Scott County has barely touched the ball but has scored within 4 plays of their last three drives. One minute remaining in the half.

Scott County does the opposite and scores almost immediately. Timmy emongo 80 yard touchdown. 14-7 Scott County with 7:30 to go in the half.

7-7 game with 8 to go in the second quarter. Scott County has held the ball maybe two minutes of the entire game? Defense is already banged up as is, offense needs to have a long drive here.
