Good game by BG, I agree that CAL had to many mistakes, way to many receivers open than usual which will need to be corrected to go further, our coverage looked very confused at moments. Good win for CAL nevertheless and good game by both teams.

I just saw that great crossing plays against Columbus high school on the 18th. Columbus has 5 star espn #3, #17 players in the nation the boozer twins and the #9 player in 2025. I know that st x didn’t do too bad against prolific prep last year but this game is going to be interesting. I haven’t watched enough great crossing to give my opinion yet.

Please no, that was the most frustrating and boring first quarter of football I’ve ever watched last year ? Bell county had mastered the 3 yard run, bell county’s o line looks a bit bigger though than this years UC line.

As a student at CAL who has watched who has watched every game and followed the team for the past couple years, in as unbiased as I can put it, I think this will be their most dominant championship of their past 2 offensively and defensively. Offensively CAL have been a weapon I don’t see union county stopping the passing game, CAL tore apart centrals defense the entire game with Connor having 2 passing and rushing touchdowns with over 360 yards alone himself. CAL also just dropped a 50 piece on Lexington catholic who was on a 7 game win streak. Also I’m pretty sure CAL has never punted once in the past 2 state games and scored a touchdown on just about every drive. I just don’t see union county’s defense being able to stop that. defensively CAL has really locked in the past 2 games, shutting down Lexington catholic and not letting centrals offense breathe. tackling/sacking central for a loss over 10 times. CAL held Cortez stone to 0 touchdowns and only 3 yards a carry when he averaged over 10, we held Daniel Thomas to over 110 yards and 2.5 touchdowns less than he averaged. And when Bardstown played us in 2022 we held their running back who averaged a first down per carry to 0 touchdowns and less than 100 yards the entire game. Although I do think jarren Johnson is a very talented player I just don’t see him getting through CALs defense. Overall I don’t think union county has played very good competition either while CAL plays mostly 5/6A teams all year. CAL handed Manuel 1 of their only 2 losses, they beat Owensboro and gave heritage hills their only loss of their entire season. CAL 42 UC 7
