Great game. Watching this game makes me appreciate @859Radio even more. These guys and most of these guys from Lexington and below continually are terrible announcers that say dumb things about the opposing teams they are not rooting for. “I was thinking he was going to tackle him because they are in frustration mode. Old man, get a clue.. it’s a basketball game. Not a Colonels fan but for a team that had 4-5 football kids playing today, thought they hung with them pretty well. Now, if I was Great Crossing, I would maybe be frustrated it was even close.

Great game! Great season. This Highlands group has overcome alot! Back to back years with one loss. Beating the Colonels twice after losing to them 48-0 twice in 7th grade. Some great coaching in 8th grade gave these kids some hope. Tonight’s game, I saw a few kids make some great key plays who won’t get any mention on here. On the fumbled punt return.. Andrew Myers working hard and recovering the punt that sparked the 1st touchdown. Offensive line led by Jaden Stricker.. played great all season.. maybe gave up 4 sacks all season. Making holes for Kremer. The wide receivers led by Colin Davis, Ben Kuhnhein and Carson Hoeh. Kuhnhein keeps getting better and Hoeh had a great route and catch that sealed this game. Anytime the offense needed a big play or bailed out on 3rd and long.. they got it done tonight and all season. On defense, the anchor on the line.. Big #68 Kaden Sturdevant. Kid will be a problem. Corners and safeties coming up big with an interception. Great job by the Birds!

Sounds like the ole ball coach is going to have to make some big time decisions… 3 future big time QB’s in the program (Queen, Link, Courtney) and Harney playing QB again next year.

Where did Courtney play when Link started the game at QB?

I did not realize Beechwood has only won 5 times since 2000. The Tigers dominated the 90’s and Colonels took care of business in the 80’s. Great rivalry!

Male beat Moeller B team today 42-7. Interesting Moeller sent their B team to play a bigger school.

Spoke to a coach tonight and he confirmed it was both teams and the A team played the first 3 quarters. Same team beat traditional power Centerville 33-0. It was 21-7 at the half. Moeller has tons of talent and tons of depth. They almost had more coaches than Birds who played in the game tonight. Good experience for the Freshman Birds!
