  1. Franklin County is the real deal. They are talented, physical and extremely well coached. They will be a tough out!
  2. I couldn’t disagree with a comment more. The kid is a stud!
  3. I think they provide a benefit. The workouts allow you to continue your weight room programs, then you can work on you position specific things. It is a good introduction period for your incoming freshman, begin getting their feet on the ground. We have given our kids 3 weeks off over the last several years around the dead period, but when you return in July the pace picks up. June workouts can be productive but as a coach you have to understand there will be some kids who go on vacation, have some summer basketball or baseball games. Just work with them, have good communication and it will benefit all parties the kids most importantly.
  4. Well I am sure there is much more to all of this. Just tough to hammer a coach when you don’t have all the details…
  5. Well maybe you can clarify that. It is my understanding that private schools do not have to adhere to the resides statute that public schools follow.
  6. I could be wrong but I believe since private schools receive no public funds they do not have to adhere to the residential eligibility statute.
  7. In short there was no specific set time for the draw. Not for sure what year it was but one year they were trying to set the time for the draw and some coaches had previous commitments and it caused some tension. So it was decided that they would do one draw on Saturday at 10AM and the other on Sunday at 2PM. This would eliminate any confusion and it was set and has been that way for probably 3 years.
  8. There were conflicts about what time to set the draw and some coaches couldn't make a specific time and it led to some hard feelings so the AD's stepped in and it was set whoever plays first draws at 10AM on Saturday and whoever plays second draws at 2PM on Sunday. It was set by a vote of the region AD's.
  9. Not trying to defend my coach but...... We played OC, NO, SO, Grant, WV, Owen which are ranked as the top teams in our region not in our district. Coach Steiner and Coach Burns have worked on dates but it can be tough with the travel and other commitments. Bardstown, North Hardin, Bullitt East who are some traditional programs. Don't think the soft schedule mantra holds water. I am sure you can point out this team or that team we should have or should not have played. Your agenda seems personal and having witnessed almost all of those games I am perfectly happy with our program and its direction.
