  1. Looks like he visited Bowling Green last weekend. First week away from SK and has already visited more D1 schools than in his 3 season with SK. He's a baller. Wish him nothing but success!
  2. Not sure. I've heard reasons but they have come from kids, so they can't be trusted. Lol
  3. Durrell Turner is no longer at SK and has transfered to Anderson HS per his Twitter.
  4. From SK, Jackson Miller had 3 TDs but not sure how many catches or yards though. Torin Turner had a good game at QB as well. He threw for 3 TDs (2 to Jackson Miller and 1 to Dayne Powell) and rushed for 1TD on a 55 yard run. He hadn't taken a QB snap in almost a month and was only told shortly before the game he would be stepping in. So overall, not a bad showing by him on such short notice. The defensive line play great as well. #50 seemed to be in the backfield every play. Dixie was under pressure the majority of the game.
  5. Totally agree with getting on campuses. One of the best thing I did for my son last year (going into his Freshman season) was taking him to a 1 day camp at U of L last year. The age group was 9th grade-some Jr college athletes. The first thing he said to me was "these guys are fast fast." I knew he wouldn't go in and do great but I wanted him to get a taste of what his talent level needed to be to get where he wants.
  6. Trust me...we don't understand either. It's been like that all season for SK JV and Freshman. It's not like they don't have anyone who can't punt at these levels either.
  7. LOL Look man, I'm sorry you don't like being called out but your "estimated" stats for this game was wrong. It's ok to be wrong sometimes even when we don't like to be.
  8. Like I said man, I am not throwing shade at any of those kids. This Ryle freshman team has been together a long time and the play very well together. They have gone undefeated the last 2 years with State titles, right? I like to come hear and read about what's going on with all of the talent in this freshman class but hearing a freshman supposedly throwing 300+ yards and 5 TDs every week is just an unbelievable stat line. Then to see it again and it wasn't true, it just needed to be called out. IMAO I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong. You are right about the passing TDs. When totaling up all the pass plays and yardage I didn't mark the #2 81 yard bomb as a TD on the sheet. So my mistake. I'm thinking his rushing TD got called back didn't it? Regardless, how quickly he made that read and made it up the field was impressive. In your last line, I think you kind of made a point that I was trying to get to but just didn't..... This team is a solid team and has been beating up on everyone in NKY as well as the state since they were 4 and 5 years old. When someone post over exaggerated stats like there has been about 1 player, one would think that he is the only person on the team. Which isn't the case with your team. All stats aside, it was a good win for you all and, once again, I am not trying to take anything away from that win or the kids that won the game. Just be realistic in stats if you are going to lob them out there.
  9. Its irritating because it's a blatant lie. It was 2 TDs. I have the film. I recorded it myself. I went back and totaled it up because of your comment about him having 4-5 TD and 300+ yards. It is simply not true. He did have a 2 TD called back; one for holding and one for a block in the back. Both were pretty long TDs too. I don't think you read my entire post. I agree that his stats and a 30+ point victory is one heck of a solid game! I am not taking shots at the kid. Everyone in NKY knows the kid can ball out. My post was really about stopping with the inflating numbers. That is it. If your going to post comments about stats make them realistic.
  10. Verax played a good game. He is a smart QB and between him and his coaches they know how to manage a football game very well. But can we stop with the blanket 300+ passing yards 4-5 TD for every game. See his stats below for last night's game..... In 3 QTR of play..... Passing: 12-22 155 yards 2 TDs - He had an 81 yard TD pass that was a bomb to one of his receivers (5?) that was beautiful. He also had some nice passes that were called back for penalties. I'm guessing that is were you are thinking he had 300+? Rushing: 10 Carries 107 yards - Could be 86 yards if you include the yardage lost on sacks. 1 Fumble for loss - Botched handoff to 41. I love reading about all of the talent in NKY and I really want to believe what I read but when I read something and witness something completely different it's super irritating that a grown adult would inflate numbers that much. With all that being said, this is not a knock on Verax. He has a really bright future; especially with the talent he has around him. That Ryle team should be a force to recon with in 4 years.
