She can have an immediate impact with her height and wing span. Right now her role is small but she is getting some good minutes behind Baker.

In the Hooperama scrimmage this past weekend at Bullit East, Ryle won 3 of the 4 quarters against Butler...Interesting match ups with Butler's commit to UK and Ryle's Baker and McClain. In the fourth quarter Ryle's inexperience showed up drastically as Butler's press kept the Raiders from getting the ball up the court multiple times.

Saturdays Battle of the Border schedule:

Ryle does have some young talent , but lack experience. Coach Haitz is known for not going very deep on her bench. With the help of a couple transfers and 6'4" Jayden McClain they should be able to have a solid run in the region.

Ryle went 5-1 on the day. Lost to Corbin in the quarterfinal.

Both teams came out and played solid D. Highlands held Abby to single digits and the Raiders held Marissa under her average. Marissa and Sarah battled and the refs let them play. Unforced turnovers cut into the Raiders lead late in the game (they were up 11 at one point) but the Raiders were able to knock down free throws to seal the win. Quinn led all scorers with 18. Highlands is a young team, they will continue to make waves in the 9th region for the next several years.

Hard fought win over a very physical Boyd County team. Congratulations to Abby on breaking the school record for most 3’s. Game ball for her 268th and added a couple more after.

Big game from Freshman Jaelyn Jones and as always Eubank, Baker and Johnson were solid.

While Meredith’s surgery was successful, I doubt she’s back before the season ends.

All I can say is don’t count any Raider out ?‍♀️. Ever.

Depth was such a huge difference. The Jags can sub and not skip a beat, the Raiders are only 6-7 deep. Young talent coming but right now in the moment Raiders have to play a nearly perfect game to get the W.
