Yes, Parents can be outta control. But this thread has nothing to do with some Parents and their lack of understanding/emotional control. Put the responsibility where it lies in this case. Parents didn’t make these refs run off the field and not discuss the play. Kudos to the KHSAA for owning it!! Much respect!!

Point to where I said officials deserve to be disrespected? Please don’t put words in my mouth. I’m not missing any point. The points are Refs we’re incompetent in this instance and the KHSAA owned it. You don’t seem to like Refs getting punished for obvious incompetence. This thread isn’t about overly emotional Parents.

Oh I agree, People ARE crazy lol. And there are definitely more crazy Parents than incompetent Refs.

Well yes, I wonder what happened. I wasn’t there. Generally speaking, it usually it boils down to either ignorant Parents living through their kids and get overly emotional or incompetent Refs who don’t follow protocol like the example above. Both happen.

Punished by being forced to sit out a week, and disqualified from playoffs. Seems fitting for this situation. Missing subjective calls; Refs should get the benefit of the doubt everyday and twice on Sunday. However Incompetence should never be tolerated. As far as you being walked out to your car… I wonder what happened during the game to garner such reaction. kudos to the people owning the mistake and holding the crew responsible. If we’re gonna hold Parents responsible and punished for their behavior, Refs should be held to the same standard, imo.

They would be the smallest 2A school in the state. Newport is right on the line as well. I am also considering travel- River Cities (D,B,HC and L) or the district of (along) Route 8 and N,NC, Brossart and Bracken considered district of Route 9. IMO this simplifies travel for both districts. NKY is somewhat spoiled with practically no travel compared to other districts, so driving from Ludlow to/from Dayton is nothing new to any of those schools as they already do it. Appreciate the dialogue!! Interested to see how it all shakes out.

Or two districts if Bracken gets the option to play down, in one you would have the river cities of Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow, and Covington Holy Cross and the other would be Newport, NewCath, Brossart, Bracken.

Anyone else curious how they handle 7 1A schools in Campbell and Kenton Counties? With Bracken moving up to 2A, it makes sense for Brossart to head towards the river. I'd love to see Holy Cross, Brossart, NewCath in the same district...yes please.

Hard fought physical game. St Henry is tough and gonna win lots of games. Don’t sleep on Newcath either. Scrappy Defense, High energy. Multiple kids can drain it. Two small schools that will bring it.

You bring up a great topic. Consistency. Teams seem to be figuring out who they really are. New to this site and its been enjoyable to see everyone's take on teams they follow.

Brossart dominated the first half with a total team effort. Went into half up 4-0. Mandy Schlueter from St Henry is special. Kudos to Brossart's defense for limiting that "nightmare for opponents." Brossart goalie Gooderson is tough and not easy to score on. Great game to watch.

Brossart over Ryle 3-0 tonight. Brossart played everybody.

Brossart won 2-1. Connor is gonna win a lot of games this year. Got some solid players!
