Below is the upcoming schedule for preseason Soccerama at Beechwood August 5th and 6th.

Looks like the weather is breaking for the good.....Hopefully I didn't just jinx us, might bring an umbrella tonight just to make sure it doesn't rain.

Some really good games tonight, granted I realize these are scrimmages so a lot of coaches don't care about score, they have a preset plan potentially of playing ALL players in the game.

Any final score's throughout tonight and tomorrow would be much appreciated if you post them on this thread.  If I see them as well I will post them.

Covington Holy Cross 1  NCC 1

i wasn’t at the game so have no details other than HC’s only goal was by Senior defender Sarah Bottom and HC was missing four starters including Hoffman.

Boone County knocks off Norwood 2-1

Holy Cross ties NCC 1-1, thanks @rjalfor the info I couldn't find anything floating around social media so that was the only game this morning I wasn't going to be able to share.

Campbell County beats Ryle 3-1, Unfortunately the BIG STORY which will be interesting how bad it is but apparently Ruby Dunleavy went out with an apparent ankle injury that looked pretty bad.  My deep prayers to a fantastic athlete and all around great person for a SPEEDY RECOVERY!!  NKY needs Ruby on the "Pitch"

Then there was the nightcap with Dixie knocking off Highlands.  Unfortunately, beyond my control I was unable to attend but was getting plenty of updates.  Here's what it sounded like.  The match that means something is going to be fun to watch.  Both of the Top squads from both teams played pretty even.  The position time and shots probably leaned towards Highlands favor, although the starting Dixie Keeper was great and stopped every shot.  It was tied 2-2 with less then 5 minutes left with both teams mainly Freshman/backend JV players on the field when Dixie was able to get a breakaway and slip a shot past Highlands backup goalie for the winning goal to make it a 3-2 final.

At the end of the day what fun nice close games we had all night long.  Looking forward to hearing about all the battles today.  Can't wait till next week when the real fun begins!

Soccerama updates from Saturday

Well it apparently was a slow day on social media yesterday because out of the 7 games I only have knowledge of 2 of them.

St Henry beat Walton Verona, 2-0

South Oldham edges out NDA, 2-1

Would LOVE to hear about the other 5!  Especially the Beechwood/Cooper game and the Bishop Brossart/Conner game.

Bueller, Bueller.....anyone?

Brossart won 2-1. Connor is gonna win a lot of games this year. Got some solid players!

Still nothing out of the Beechwood/Cooper fan base?  No one wants to claim Victory??  Or did you end in a Tie?

If I heard correctly last night, Cooper won 4-0.

I was not able to attend the  Conner/Brossart game but from what I gather from updates from parents and family, they struggled with offense, especially the second half.  Conner was not able to get one corner kick.  They have new kids playing and make take a little adjusting but no doubt Coach Hughes will get them up to speed quickly.
