The last 10 games have shown I can't trust anyone on Station aside from Mari. TaeShawn can be the high scorer just as often as he ends up with 7 or 8 points. Also, not sure of Sanford's condition after having that seizure during the anthem of the district championship. If Catholic is up at the start of the 4th quarter, I expect the 4 corner treatment the entire quarter to stop any chance of Station gaining rhythm. Catholic 41-36.

No. The Broncos' 33-3 Final Four run of 2023 didn't have a big man either. However, during his career, Logan Busson at 6'2" did a wonderful job of guarding post players from Reece Potter to Moreno. DeMarcus Surratt is a capable scorer, and a high flyer (somewhat combining Aveion Chenault and Armelo Boone's talents) however, he has not displayed that alpha trait of 'give me the ball, and let me win this game'. Kai Simpson for the '23 Broncos had that, and WAS that for that team. He definitely had a great game against Male in the KOB loss, but in the other losses, he wasn't nearly as much of a factor. For the Broncos to make it out of the 11th, Surratt has to lead them out!

Douglass has so much potential, but there is something missing.

As is evidenced by the final score. In-person, I will definitely say the Lady Broncos gave up mid 3rd quarter. Body language, multiple turnovers told it all. Meanwhile, the Lady Cards played like they were trailing the entire game! Very impressive.

Jylin Edmonson apparently transferred from Boyd Co... Only has logged two games for GRC thus far... Looks like a secret weapon has been unleashed!

So is this based on the current/senior season, or career achievements? If I have a breakout senior season, win my statiscal categories, and am my team's clear MVP... And we make a strong push to the 4th round of state, do I still get proper consideration? But at the same time, I had to wait for a growth spurt, wait for my turn behind previous starters.. And am a media unknown until the summer before my senior season, I have no chance? Just wondering.

If no school, no practice, unless the district specifically gives a county wide waiver. Practice or not, I believe Lafayette and Dunbar both played though, although their Classic competition wasn't top tier.

Lol. Make the call or send a text. Two Douglass players were on football college visits (Miami OH., and Georgia State) as of Friday, so at this point, I'm not sure what the true rationale was for. But the story is lack of practice.

Douglass was supposed to play at Station Friday, then today vs Wofo. Coach Garvin and Coach Ligon said they haven't practiced in over a week, so they both decided not to play this weekend.
