The Harneys' reputation for being super difficult to deal with is well known info even in my neck of the woods. Interestingly enough CovCath seems to do okay handling prima donnas for however long they park their drama wagons at CovCath, be it Geisler or Mason or Starks. Question though. Doesn't the transfer law that started this past July mean Cash will have to sit his entire sophomore year, given the fact that he played varsity football and basketball, both? I know the law makes it so there is no longer any 'appeal to the KHSAA' situation.

I heard Dubois canned their staff because they had too many players headed to the big programs around the Ville. Not sure if it's true or not, but Trinity is allegedly getting some quality ballers from Dubois.

I think this is a good game for Campbell County and won't be a terrible win for Beechwood if you're looking at RPI. Don't forget, though, if you're a Highlands fan everything Brian Weinrich does is an absolutely horrible idea. The worst.

Heard it thru the grapevine that Scott is challenging the enrollment numbers that the KHSAA used and is trying to stay 4A instead of moving up to 5A.

Anybody else hear that? That was the sound of what little remaining wind they had leaving the sails of the Admirals program completely. Good lord, they really can't get out or their own way in the administrative offices up there in Danville, can they? This was absolutely made to be the opportunity to get Clevenger back in the saddle and pick up the pieces, and instead they just elect to sweep the pieces into a trash bag and throw them out.

I agree with you LongTimeReader. Trinity is a great program, but if they're trying to continue measuring themselves up against the accomplishments of the guy who currently is (and probably will remain to be) the most successful coach in the history of KY HS football, they're setting themselves up for failure. Expecting anyone to repeat what Beatty accomplished is ridiculous. Also, hot take here, Trinity's football program will probably never be as good again as it was under Beatty. Same as Highlands, who won't ever be as successful again as they were under Mueller.

Did I see on Twitter that North Laurel picked up a pretty big transfer from another school somewhere in the vicinity? Not trying to be coy. I'm just pretty sure I sat that sometime recently, but can't find it anywhere on Twitter now.

Oh man, here I am posting about helmet designs without even having gotten to the juicy part of the thread yet! This sounds like the downstream result of all the drama around Coach Smith getting Das Boot at Tilghman a couple years ago.

Those are both pretty solid helmets. I honestly liked Union County's a little better without the outline of the county when it was just the big U with the arrowhead. Tilghman has had that helmet forever, and I like it, but that Tornado logo is so cool, it's almost a shame not to see it on the helmets. But I do like seeing it blown up huge as the midfield logo at McRight Field though.

So I seem to recall when Christian County and Hoptown were working on hiring new football coaches that the plan back then was to have the new school operating as two separate campuses and playing under one conjoined athletic program as the Wolfpack. Then once the new building was finished everyone would be at the new campus and the current Christian County and Hoptown campuses would go away. That seemed pretty unfair to me, at least. So with the plan to continue on as separate schools for at least one more year, does that mean they are planning for everything to consolidate once the new building is completed? How is construction coming along at the new campus? I wonder if the KHSAA might have possibly poo-pooed the whole two campuses, one team idea.

Okay, so maybe I was being a little dramatic. Lol I'd take the job for a million, but that doesn't mean the Danville job wouldn't still be a miserable job to have in its current state. And especially with the old administration and coaches in place.

Didn't know the baseball coach resigned. That bodes much better for the future of other sports programs. And for the head coaches of those programs.
