South Oldham vs Oldham County Predictions/Updates
BBN_34 replied to ColonelMike's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I’m expecting a lower scoring game this time probably in the 60s. Both teams shot exceptionally well last game and it will be near impossible to replicate. If South can limit the offensive rebounds I think there’s a good chance they win but if they let Amburgey own the paint it will be very tough. -
Dragons dominate from start to finish.

Dragons continue a 3 game win streak with an upset over Desales on their senior night!

Quite the contrary on Shelby though. Blowout win for South tonight over Shelby County. -

Me and a buddy were talking about the best receivers to come from the state in the past 10 years and Milton’s name came up quickly. I remember seeing something that he was academically ineligible and no longer with Purdue so that got me wondering where he is playing now. I couldn’t find anything upon a quick google search so I took to BGP to find the answers. Was a tremendous athlete at CAL.

South’s defense which was an issue early season clearly has improved drastically. They were causing Tiger turnovers all night.

Dragons handle Beechwood from start to finish.

Slow and methodical offense. Boring but efficient. Really utilizes the no shot clock in high school. -
Dragons handle business in the first game of the Swauger Holiday Classic.

I think we got some questions answered today as Collins beat Madison Central 62-51. Titans are legit. -

I think you’re giving Oldham too much credit based on their past pedigree. With Coach Z I absolutely believe they could turn this season around but I just don’t see that toughness they usually employ on the court. It’s a little disrespectful to put them in a group with Grant who 40 pieced them in a head to head matchup. -

Another interesting note: LaRue County did not sub a single time the entire game. The 5 starters played every minute. -
Basketball in Louisville never fails to amaze. Male just came off a loss to Butler and Fern Creek just beat Trinity. Who knows who the best team in the city is.

Grant County 88 Oldham County 53

It looked to me like Grant County just outplayed them straight from the tip. Grant County may very well be a sleeper to win the 8th region. They have great size and rebound extremely well. Oldham County’s transition and paint defense was non existent tonight and Grant took full advantage. -
With a blowout loss to Grant County and a win over Woodford I’m not sure what to make of this Oldham team.

Man two KY schools have beat Huntington Prep this season. Just speaks volumes to the quality of basketball in the state this season. -
Roberts did play and scored 27. They just ran into a very good Taft team.

No doubt SK definitely legit this season. Heard Dynes knocked down a few threes too which could change their offense entirely. -

No Dallas Roberts for North obviously made a big difference. -
Wild score from independence.

Also South had a pretty solid summer atleast from what I saw. I popped by to watch them play North Oldham and Spencer County. They beat Spencer County by around 30 points and only dropped the game to North by 2. Now it’s summer so it doesn’t mean to much but it was atleast promising to me. If they can figure out their defensive struggles they could put together a solid season.
