  1. Still think Beechwood would beat Trinity?
  2. Coach Sams is a phenomenal coach and I’m certain he’ll build a great program at NB. But like many first year coaches he’s not walking into a great situation. There’s talent, but they’re young. This NB team is a year or two away from competing for the district title again. I’d say Elizabethtown wins comfortably.
  3. After seeing Manual scrimmage Oldham I can confidently say there’s a lot of talent there. Washburn I believe is the primary runner now and he looked poised for a big year. Incredibly shifty and runs hard. Once again I’m concerned with Manual’s pass game as they struggled to throw the ball against a below average OC defense. I will say manual’s defense is strong as usual and they have great size. I think this one could go either way but I’m taking Central in a low scoring contest 20-14.
  4. With all due respect it’s really tough for me to believe Beechwood would beat Trinity.
  5. McCubbin suffered an injury in their first scrimmage and is out indefinitely. Should return this season but no timetable set yet. Talented sophomore Julian Miles is expected to help fill that void and I’m told he’ll bring a different level of athleticism to the backfield. I look for SO to pound it on the ground and chew clock to win a close game 17-14.
  6. Just saw OC play Manual last night. This is a “rebuilding” year for sure. I would guess their O and D line average weight around 200-210. Line play clearly an issue for them and an extremely small secondary. I look for SK to win in dominant fashion.
  7. Last season X played without Micah Carter, Teddy Meiers, and Jaxon Panarello against O. With them back O will not have much success offensively. X is a different beast once again this year and I like them to win 28-14.
  8. I was told that Fairdale beat Christian Academy of Louisville in a scrimmage tonight so this one may be closer than originally thought.
  9. I had my doubts but man…. LCA is legit. Cutter Boley is everything he is advertised to be. Clear 2A favorites imo. QB was a slight issue for LCA in the past but this year is a different story.
  10. Coach Burke is an excellent coach and obviously never lacks confidence. South Oldham is a tremendous program but he doesn’t have any championships to show for it during his tenure and I don’t believe this is his best roster. As for Notre Dame they’re talented but like Big Red said there will be a few growing pains. Nonetheless I wouldn’t be shocked at all to see the script flipped when they play in a few weeks.
  11. Pre season rematch of the state final ends in dramatic fashion. South Oldham scores with seconds left to win the scrimmage.
  12. Did LCA air it out a lot or was it a good mix. I know Emerson is a workhouse at rb but goes both ways so I assume touches are more limited.
  13. Not a good sign for the birds defense. This is a male team that returns two starters on offense not including Max Gainey.
  14. I don’t think this is an outrageous take. With all due respect, if you ignore his offers Boley has little to show. Stats aren’t great and mechanics are off a little as well.
  15. Who does LCA have outside Boley? They lost quite a bit of production if I remember correctly.
  16. Not sure on the total team results but SK’s Aba Selm was the overall OL MVP.
  17. Any idea why he left St X @Tigerpride94 ? I know he was there freshman year.
  18. Atherton and North Bullitt ahead of South Oldham???? The guys at catspause didn’t do much research.
  19. I’m told he’s going to be a Bluebird. Should make the boys from Ft Thomas a legit contender.
  20. Final. Don’t think I saw a thread on this one.
