This should make Mayfield all alone for 3rd all time in HS wins nationally behind Valdosta and Male. If Massillon wins Saturday night, they will be tied for 3rd. Both have chance to overtake Male the way their season going.

Mayfield will be better served scrimmaging themselves these next couple weeks.

Mayfield gains a game on Male in all time wins and maintains 3rd place tie with Massillon at 922.

No doubt Beechwood and LCA are the best but I promise this Murray option is going to give someone fits if they haven't prepared for it or played against it. Its the best I have ever seen.

Maybe but Murray only 2 timeouts. Either way, 4 downs up the gut would have wasted a big portion of remaining time and leave Murray with almost no time and 50 yards to score.

The Murray qb was absolute magician with the ball running the option. Nearly impossible to defend. Never seen anything like it.

Had 1st down and 1:38 to play at midfield. Ran way off tackle rather than up gut with both hands on ball. Fumbled and ran back inside 10. Should have just taken knee.

Mayfield 907 and Male adds 5 to go to 911 per source.

Mayfield had 900 to start season right? Should be close to 906 now.

With Male canceled the rest of the year and Highlands dropping games like crazy, will Mayfield take over top spot for most wins all time in football?

Rats...one point shy of a running clock

Being from Mayfield, I gotta give props to Trigg County RB Al Baker.

Name more than 8 players who played legit D1 ball since 77. I can think of Jon Redd, Joe Prince, Larry Jackson, Micah Jones. Tilghman has one or two a year it seems.

95% of Mayfield's success is from coaching...12 titles in 40 years and maybe 7-8 legit D1 players in that same time frame.

What are the top ten winningest programs of all time? Is it still roughly; Male Highlands Mayfield Bardstown Owensboro BG Trinity STX etc...

Combined 64 at the half?? Some old MHS and PTHS defensive coaches are rolling over in their graves
