This should make Mayfield all alone for 3rd all time in HS wins nationally behind Valdosta and Male. If Massillon wins Saturday night, they will be tied for 3rd. Both have chance to overtake Male the way their season going.

Being from Mayfield, I gotta give props to Trigg County RB Al Baker.

Name more than 8 players who played legit D1 ball since 77. I can think of Jon Redd, Joe Prince, Larry Jackson, Micah Jones. Tilghman has one or two a year it seems.

95% of Mayfield's success is from coaching...12 titles in 40 years and maybe 7-8 legit D1 players in that same time frame.
