Scooter must’ve done something because he basically picked 9 kids out of the tabacco fields and cattle barns to beat Mason County. I don’t know who Mason County is wanting? Not a lot of people are banging down the door to coach at a school always second to basketball. Or a school with blatant loss of common sense when designing their baseball field that is one of the worst in the region. I mean come on this job isn’t attractive by any means. Mason County would be estatatic if Scooter was able to coach there.

A D1 pitcher is in control every at bat. A D1 hitter is in control 1 in every 9 at bats. And I’m pretty sure D1 pitchers are good pitchers in high school? I feel like I’m talking to someone who has never watched baseball.

If Kentucky offers Allen a full scholarship and he goes there and plays significant minutes I will say I was wrong. How many scholarships has Calipari offered to a homegrown Kentucky player? Pretty sure he’s offered more people from other countries scholarships, than KY kids. He’s not going to get an offer “just because he’s from Kentucky giving a hometown kid a chance”. Calipari has never done that

Ok so Kentucky offers Dontaie a walk-on spot, then what? You go and see minuscule playing time for about 2-3 years maybe a few minutes as a senior? He's competing for playing time against players all over the world. Go to Western, Northern, or Eastern and be a hometown hero where you can be an influence on the team, because it's not going to happen at Kentucky.

What about Chris Ullrey?

Also beat an NAIA pitcher and two Division 1 pitcher to win two districts. Outcoached? Maybe. But it still shouldn’t be overlooked the coaching mistakes that weren’t made against Scott in the region tournament a couple years ago.

BAD. Also had a good run of talent with him from 2012-2017. Kevin McClanahan played baseball at Bracken from about 89-94. Won 5 district championships as a player and I think played at NKU. While he would be a good candidate, I don’t know if his current job would allow him to. Both of his kids play baseball and basketball at Bracken County.
