Well, your definition of greatness is different than mine. These guys might have the potential to reach that level, but they're just not there, or actually not even close. Stewart and Burns do not even have a full year yet in the majors. Greene is 27 and 30 at this point and Cruz is a .259 hitter over his career. Nothing there spells greatness, again their greatness is solely based on potential.

Every team wants to be in the 2027 playoffs. Great players, what team have you been watching? The Reds have a hand full of better than average players, but great , no. The pen is the worst in the league, the starters can't get past the 5th inning, show me a 300 hitter on the roster. This team needs some proven MLB players, and to get them, they will have to give up some players that have been tagged as great.

Someone needs to promote these games better, I went last night and Memorial was about 30 percent full.

With his history, it's just a tough decision what to do with him.

He will be making 15.3 million next year. If next year is a repeat of this year, that's about 1 million for each start.

I'm pretty sure the Daytona 500 matchup won't happen.

I totally agree with you on Greene's value, if he's heathy. I just think you're really rolling the dice thinking he will make 30 starts next year.

True or not true, it would be a good swap. Even if it's not the case, I would have selected Marshall County over some of the existing teams.

So you firmly believe Greene is over all of his injury problems and will make 30 starts next year? If this is the case I agree, keep him, but past history doesn't show that happening.
