So this is an actual AAU team? It's not a boarding school? Do the players go to local high schools? -

Did CCH peak at the beginning of the season?

It seems by your theory Cooper would be the one to worry about peaking, right? Had all 5 starters for the pre-season. -

Former Cov. Holy Cross student suing KHSAA

Is the agreement between the KHSAA and its members (the schools) like the agreement between the NFLPA and the NFL in that the authority to pass final judgement is absolute? We saw this recently with Elliott. Precedent doesn't really matter because the authority, through collective bargaining in the NFL, allowed it. Would a court use similar logic re: KHSAA? -

Covington Catholic had two football players. Cooper has one that I can think of. Had 1 or 2 last year. -

If it’s not something you do it won’t work. It’s like watching Syracuse and deciding you’re going to play zone against a team. -

Correct on CCH but it's tough to make a comparison between these two when CCH got Ballard and Fern Creek and Cooper got Trinity and CCH. Neither Trinity nor CCH do what Ballard and FC do defensively. -
Both are long-armed. Kunkel gets the advantage in handle. 3 point shooting is close although CJ had a better summer shooting. Kunkel is quicker and more explosive. CJ gets the slight nod in passing. CJ pull-up game gets the nod. Both are strong at the rim with Kunkel getting the nod. Kunkel is asked to do more and does it well. Both have more "stuff" to their game than folks realize. In other words , it's a beauty contest. What you think is pretty may be different than what I think is pretty even if we agree both Miss America and Miss Spain are pretty.

I won't partake in any of the silliness/excuses. I will say that this game was a bonus for both coaches as it gives them one more chance to see how matchups do or do not work before they inevitably meet in the 9th region tourney. Both teams will point to things they need to work on. I can't wait for Jan 12th to see Round 2. -

Someone has an unhealthy infatuation. Did you post after the Cooper Trinity game that Kunkel took 21 shots and the rest of the team took 24? The top player sometimes has to not be afraid to be the man. Neither are. I applaud both CJ and AK . -

Well since all fouls are opinions I'd say you are correct. -

Fun match up between two really good players. CJ had 27 and 7. Kunkel had 23 and 5. The difference in the game was Blaine Walters with 20. -

We need to let these boys make contact with each other without fouls being called every time. Walter for CovCath and Spencer for Cooper both had ticky tack contact fouls called on them for simply being big . It destroys flow and puts players in foul trouble.
