That’s awesome. Have you had an opportunity to catch a game at Dayton High School or Bellevue in NKY? If you love small town football, catching their Rivalry game, at either of their stadiums, is a neat experience.

I’m jealous of how much high school football you see each year. No sporting event is more genuine, pure, and nostalgic than high school football IMO. Of all the states you visit, what would you say has the best quality of football? What about atmosphere? Etc?

9-12 and 6-9pm for 2 weeks all four years at hhs under coach Mueller. Someone with more knowledge of the KHSAA rules will have to confirm but I’m pretty sure 2-a-days have basically been put out to pasture by the state. Anyone?

I don’t know the whole story there. I know he moves around a lot but again no clue what happened with him at hhs. Feel free to PM me if that’s easier. Like everything there is always twos sids to the coin.

Just my opinion but I think you’re vastly underrating a healthy Buten. Like anyone, i could be wrong but his explosiveness is special. He had miniscus surgery before dead period.

Not sure about your comment of the running game be suspect. I’d put duo of C. Schwalbach and a healthy Joe Buten up against anyone in NKY. Do you mean because you’re worried about the Oline?

For years hhs had a ton of success with guys like you’re describing... glad to see it’s happening again. Also 2020 might be thinking King as a TE rather than a WR. I only saw a couple games last year but he played a lot with his hand down from what I remember.

During spring ball I heard Bowman was starting At guard.

Former national coach of the year, Nina Kearns, is on his staff this year. It sounds like she will be in more of an advisory role but there are few around here that have had the success she did.

How were the runs scored in this titanic struggle?

Absolutely. Dave will push you the absolute furthest you can go and make you realize you’re a lot tougher than you think; or many times, not near as tough as you think you are. I LOVED playing for him at HHS and I wasn’t even a DB (the position he coached at the time).

He has Dave Meadows running his defense which is absolutely huge. I can tell you right now player discipline and attitude will not be an issue with Dave around.

Does anyone know how the birds have been doing down south?

St. Elizabeth is awesome in providing high quality trainers and team doctors. Another awesome trainer is HHS’ trainer Tracy Coffman. I’d also recommend St. Elizabeth’s Doc Holliday and Gates to anyone.

Golly Jeepers!!! I totally forgot that if you can play baseball that means you can play football. You’ve solved all the problems... have the baseball guys play football and I bet hhs wins state again. Genius

Does anyone know if Justin Mason is staying on with Coach Woolf? I truly hope, if he wants to, he is kept on. He’s a great man and does it the right way.
