Oh how the mighty have fallen. I remember a playoff game at Boone county where Trinity had to pull it out in the last few seconds. Those Trinity vs Boone County games were usually very competitive.

I would find a smart quick athlete and I would run the wishbone. We ran it in the catholic league on the 7th and 8th grade level and lost one game in 2 years. It is tough to defend, if you can not practice against it.

As watered down as the current playoff system is, a state title does not mean that much. I am speaking of 6-A in particular. A few years ago, there were some informal talks going on of forming a super conference. This regional conference would have included all the schools in GCL in Cincinnati. Trinity, and Saint Xavier in Louisville, and cathedral, and Roncalli out of Indianapolis. Came to naught because of having 3 different high school athletic associations involved.

Pep rock, not only was mike a good coach, but more importantly he was a great role model. A man of integrity.

These young men have a bright future ahead of them. Right now, compared to Trinity they are a little slow. They will lean out and get quicker. They are the second best frosh team in the county only giving way to the Trinity frosh team. The Trinity frosh are probably the best frosh team in the state.
