It was not my intention to imply as such. Beechwood is off to a very good start. They have shown a capability to win close games, of which is more of a skill than a lot people realize.

Mason County has recovered nicely from last weeks disappointing results, with 2 wins this week to get back on track.

I am not sure. I just noticed they haven't played the last couple games according to the khsaa scoreboard.

Elliott County seems to keep churning out good teams year after year. Quite impressive, especially for a small school.

Holding Allen to 24 points can be looked at as an accomplishment with the totals he has been putting up so far this season.

Good early season win for the Colonels. The 40th district is going to be very entertaining this season.

Did Magoffin County have their full compliment of players? I saw where in the Cats Pause they were chosen to win the 15th this season.

The Black Devils missed out on the trifecta for this week, but are still off to a strong 2-1 start.

Good win for the Hounds. Paris has a variety of players who can put the ball in the basket. When a team has that ability it makes them hard to handle, especially at the high school level; for that matter, at any level.

Good win for the Royals. I really like how Dunaway plays. Great motor.

The Panthers have a lot of new kids in new or different roles including Shoemaker. Growing pains are to be expected. I do however believe they have some kids with ability and fully expect them to improve as these kids mature and adjust to thier roles.
