Saw that Highlands took Ryle. How did everyone else fair this week?

2 vs 3 score loss, turnovers, injured players, bad calls and weather. Did I miss something? Every team has had to deal with that.

We will see soon enough. However IMO the better team won in the Cov Cath/Highlands game. "Winners win." Best of luck to all of the teams for the rest of the season. It will be a fun couple weeks.

Idk about placing Dixie above Campbell and Boone. Didn't Boone beat Dixie? And I would say Campbell will take Dixie today, when they play.

Most of this will be settled on the field over the next couple weeks. But Cov Cath and Highlands are definitely over top of Ryle. Based on who they have played so far IMO. Otherwise pretty good list.

Slow start for both teams offensively. Conner had a few drives but couldn't finish. Conner QB threw nice but a lot of drops. Believe half was 16-8 SK with a SK drive with 2 great catches for #80 Mulberry and #25 Bush, coming up just short of goal at the half. Second half was mostly controlled by SK. #27 Hammack with 2TDs and 3 breakaway runs during the game, for about 50yds each. #38 North punched one in on the goal line. #8 Parks had a really good night with a 1 or 2 interceptions. And both teams scored in the later 4th. #37 Bleier for SK and #4 receiver for Conner. Overall good game. SK basically controlled the game last 3 quarters.

RCC9 I've watched both these teams in 3 games each this year and see my prior post in cov cath / highlands fresh predictions if you want my reasons.

Both good teams. The Colonels are just better this year, with more talent. Congrats Colonels.

Hollingsworth is a decent QB, but the kid that had replaced him earlier in the season while Hollingsworth was out, seemed to give them more options. And was definitely more athletic. What happened to that kid?

I've seen both of these teams play multiple games this year, and both are really good teams and should make for a great night in Park Hills. But unless the Colonels are having a down night, they will take this one. They have impressive lines and should dictate this game especially if highlands starting RB is still out. I'm sure highlands #10 will break some, but IMO #10 for the Colonels is just as impressive and he isn't even the best player on their team. #77 (I believe that's his number) for the Colonels has been the best player I've seen for this freshman league this year. But I haven't caught a Ryle game yet.

Yeah cov cath has a great line they had complete control of the line all night both sides of the ball. Simon Kentons defense has been pretty good but didn't look like it last night.

Yeah 26 and 33? I thought ran pretty good when they were able to get past the line of scrimmage. Put that big boy on the line and run behind him.

I really like how SK has gone to just offense and defensive players. No one playing both ways, fresh bodies coming on the field every series and I think the kids believe in the system. And I think that's the biggest thing is having the kids believe in what the coaches are doing. Plus there are more kids that are getting playing time and who doesn't like that.

I agree. What are they doing with #31 in the back field? Get that big boy on the line. #26 ran the ball hard. I don't think cc is that bad of a team. Turnovers killed them i think once they get it together they will be fine.

Great win for the young pioneers! SK's Defense looked really good. Campbell county just looked gassed. It could of been 68-0 easily?

You also gotta think they played bryan station last night so they weren't gonna drive to Lexington for a jv game. Probably only team they could find available to play.

From what I remember you always did in northern Kentucky back then. Hell I remember last year SK didn't take a knee for someone and their parents went crazy. But even college/nfl teams take a knee for someone who is being carted off the field.....

Well hopefully both teams will be healthy next go around.
