You were afraid that they would go to Lex and stink up the place to a team that is comparable to Boyle and Lincon ? -

Seems like they went thru a lot of trouble to get eligible and then just quit. Playing time issues or what? -

Amen to First on his comments about Will Hager. If he didnt have Trevon and Malik with him he could EASILY score 25 per game.. Sort of like the Anthony Davis situation at UK a few years back...having the highest scoring avg does NOT make you the best player. Hager is one of the hardest players to guard st the HS level i have ever seen. As far as Blevins being the best Sr on 12th....ge is a very good player but not even close to Hager IMO. As far as Trevon being Mercers best as noted by another post, he is really really good, and could be cosidered the best soph in Ky. He and Will know they each carry a certain load every game and they are both fearless out there. Point being that if Will isnt All State there is something very wrong with the system of selection -

Pretty much West strategy appeared to be foul grab push ..try to get in Mercers head...with hager and faulkner out there that aint gonna work -

Jon Dunning is also a player who will contribute next yr. 6-1 jr pt guard. Plays a lot like Hager just not nearly as strong -

Mercer came out tonite with a very business like approach. Seemed very focused on getting the win ....so much for all the talk about what they could do against Elkins (he is one heck of a player by the way) they basically drove it all nite with success. Dow played an awesome 1st half and maintained his composure very well for the physicality of the game. Hager is a man out there ...love his game...trevon is all about winning and really didnt have to score a lot tonite. Mink played extremely well. Dylan James chipped in with some plays here and there. But as First said, james could bust West for 25 on thurs..many weapons on Mercer...their best is their will to win regardless of who scores. -

I think mercer wins but Steve Adams is one heck of a coach....dow needs to stay out of foul trouble...hager and faulkner too much for most HS guArds to contain... Mercer by 10 -

What is the "dumpster fire story" thing ? I am clueless. Can someone tell me in a condensed version? -
I think one overlooked quality of Mercer is their size/strength. The smallest of the top six players is Mink at 6-3 and about 180 lbs...the other 4 starters are 6-4 to 6-5 and are MEN . Hager is a legit 6-4 200 lbs. Dow 6-5 195 Faulkner 6-4 maybe 180. And James 6-4 210 or so. Then Davis off the bench at 6-3 and a rock solid 235 or so. Just physically strong young men. Hhard to handle if you are normal HS kids inthe 6-0 165 to 6-4 180 lb range. Well above avg athletes at that
