What Ft Thomas feeder did she go to? when did she make that switch? Why has no one complained about these? I think if we look back we can find the same amount going into FT as elsewhere, maybe more.

How do you prove its for athletics if they "sell" the school. If I am a coach I could say think about XYZ school. We have a great diverse student body, education, and our basketball team has a great future. Then talk about how great the school is again. I have a 8th grader and I am in the middle of all this drama as she decides where she is going to high school. HC is a very real option. BTW her sister plays for NDA and my 8th grader played for Macke and the royals between soccer seasons. I know more about what's going on first hand then 99% think they know.

You know Dixie some truth to that and its sad the officials especially after a blown call(s) that directly impact the outcome is the same official to call the T. That official is pompous, heck look at the size medium shirt he wears. sorry had to throw that in. And yes both blown calls were blown calls. But yesterday I put a bagel in the toaster and it burnt my bagel in about the 1/2 of the time I normally have a bagel in the toaster. True story. So I got a new bagel out and guess what? It did the exact same thing. Although the toaster may be the problem, its up to me to change the settings or get a new toaster. I can blame to toaster over and over but at the end how I react to it is what makes the difference.

The CC offense is very tough to defend at first because Clos and Jolly are always moving. All 5 are utilized in the offense. You have to worry about multiple screens and them pulling up, or back dooring from the wing. They want to get you worried about help d and as soon as your turn your head, they are cutting. If you play gap to much they will shoot the 3. It only works because to their credit they have multiple players who can shoot the 3, shoot off the dribble or attack the rim AND their coach utilizes their skill sets in this way very well. Then they like to get in transition. If your guards are athletic and quick they can find the right distance to give the person being guarded and how to get under screens. NDA was able to do this after the 14-2 start and really made CC work for most of what they got. Best of luck to CC and TC #4 and MS #5 keep playing hard. #oldtimeteamates

I think those examples are all the city and all over the place and not a great analogy . Its a gym time thing. NDA feeders get once a week to practice for 1.5 hrs. So they try to find a gym to get an extra practice in. If Highlands would allow Pius or BSS etc to use theirs they wouldn't need to get NDAs help.

I don't know if odd is the correct word but I do hear you. Is it any different than the "feeder" schools, which your correct they are feeders to HC, NDA, ST Henry as well, practicing at NDA once a week, which again IMO is genius by NDA. Practice with the Freshman, see the varsity after you and the 8th grader has passion for NDA. Its part in reason why the numbers are way up for girls basketball at NDA

Why is this a issue for him to be at St Pius games? He is a parishioner, no? The girls love seeing him there just like they like when NDA coach watch something.

St Pius is unbeaten in NDA league and the PSL league. I would say St Paul and BSS who Pius beat without Hagen yesterday would be the other two. In the PSL its Conner then Conner then Conner then Pius.

As far as 8th graders playing for Macke. yes those 2 plus Maddie Sheer (Ryle), Maggie Jones (SK), Lay Lay spelling (HC) Camille Hagen a little off and on (St Pius) a few from Cincinnati and a couple from Campbell County As far as Holy Cross, let me say this, I have a daughter who plays for a rival. A major rival - NDA. I know what HC has been about for years with some ex players and some new ones and what they do is nothing short of heart felt and fantastic that give many kids a damn chance. If this was a new thing, I would raise my eyebrows. I know the coaches very well. Better than most on here and Kes and others are class acts. I know them from outside the gym trying to win games. I also know Macke very well and I will say the same. Passion and competitive as anything but the heart for caring for the kid is bigger. again coming from a rival.

In a scrimmage its hard to tell. It was a 4-5 pt game (FC) with about 1:30-2 mins to go. NDA was down mid way in Q1 and then really handled FC guards well. FC was all about Frank going isolation to the basket. starters to starters plus maybe 1-2 it was a very even game. Franklin Co has a very good starting 5. 5 can handle to ball, 3 can attack and 11 can shoot the ball although I don't think she took more than 1-2 shots vs NDA.

What a great even match up. I watched NDA scrimmage Franklin last week and know CC players pretty well. This game goes either way if CC can hit some shots. Tough to overcome that drive and home gym but CC has a lot of ballers. Good luck TC and MS

St Pius beat 6th Grade Highlands Highlands won 7th grade by about 10. some nice size at Highlands on this 7th grade team St Pius 8th grade beat Highands by about 15. Is this all the 8th grade Highands players? who moved up? I know they lost Macke but who else is not playing 8t grade?
