Never underestimate the X MEN. Its been a season of improvement by them. Each week getting better and better. In 4 weeks I will say they will be ready for the MIGHTY GREEN MACHINE know as the only Private/ Public school in the sate of KY... sorry couldn't resist. Go Tigers

hogg you made me laugh. I have watched this X team play all year and if you feel they have no chance you are sadly mistaken but good thing is your opinion and mine for that matter doesnt make a difference either. The field is where it will be settled. Keep beating your drum stating X has no chance

we forget Male whooped the hell out of Trinity! St. X played them both close. A Male coach said St. X was better than Trinity.....just quoting a guy that played both teams......as for it being a 3 team race....Due to the KHSAA not wanting the 2 best teams to play in the state championship its a 3 team race plus the other team whomever that might be from the rest of the state

The good thing is it will be settled on the field. I hope both Trinity and Male look at the X game as a walk in the park. According to you guys it will be.

St. X played Male and Trinity both to the end. Ok i have read multiple times Trinity and Male turned it over and gift wrapped it for X. How about you look at it differently. One time I can say luck 2 times im calling it more of a trend. St. X forces turnovers. They were hitting hard. A lot harder than anyone they have faced. Male's top talent spent much of the game on the sidelines due to being banged up. St. X will be in the mix guys. I can say without a doubt Trinity and Male are not looking forward to playing the Tigers again. Just my take. Male Trinity and St. X will be playing each other and it will be a coin toss.....

its been male's to lose the past few seasons and lose they have when it counted. It should be an interesting game. The loser should get Trinity in the 2nd round of the playoffs......There is a lot at stake here when you are talking Playoff opponents. Manual or Trinity to the loser

Sorry to say i read a comment about their future at Manual isnt bright. St. x jv beat then 44-2 and the freshman team has under 20 players and i do not think they are strong as a whole. Manual has been very good over the years and it looks like they are in for a long few seasons after this year

Sounds like someone should call email or send a package to St. X and tell them to just pack it in and start working on next season. Heck they should forfeit the next few games for sure and not show up since they are awful and can in no way beat manual especially male and never ever start the bus to travel to the playoffs....you guys are a joke. All that excuse crap that was used in the earlier threads are being used here. If trinity would not have fumbled if Trinity would snap the ball better....how about if St. x doesnt drop the pick that would have given X victory at the final trinity drive. how about the # picks that X threw due to a wet ball....excuses can be thrown out everywhere. I gave trinity credit for winning no love for X playing a good football game...smh Its high school football. X beat trinity last year and los 9-3 in the playoffs and could have lost that game too. Male waxed trinity then threw an egg to propel trinity to the state...the year before Male was the IT team...yea they lost to Meade co and Scott co won it all. X stay at home you have no chance because you got lucky in this game and are in no way good enough to compete the rest of the way.... yada yada yada.....

Trinity won the game. there are 3 sides to a football game and 4 quarters. they all together equal a football game. one can say well this side did this this quarter did that. Trinity punched St. X in the mouth in the 1st half. St. X punched Trinity in the mouth the 2nd half and pitched a shutout. The game was close and could have went either way. I really wouldnt pencil in a Trinity Male matchup just yet. I would not count the Tigers out in a rematch if it comes to that. Just my take. Proud Tiger Alum.

We have millions of dollars. We are elitist. We cant play football. yada yada yada........Let the Rocks think of themselves the way they want. And us....

A trust fund? you just said that. lol Trinity and St. x and Desales are within a couple of hundred dollars from each other in tuition...... St. X gives about 1.7 million dollars a year in financial aid. 40% of the students at St. X receive financial aid. What are the percentages at Trinity?

In Lacrosse last year Pregame Trinity saw St. X coming out and Trinity Lax team gathered at the X and started stomping up and down on the X pregame. That is an example of what?

Refuse to offer? They do not have the resources to help special needs young men that is all I can say. Why? Well that's not for me to answer but feel free to call mr. Espinoza and ask.

All tell twist the words how you like. If a young man can not pass a basic skills test call it smart or call it he is not up to the lowest level being taught then they will wash out and that would be worse for the young man. If he can not pass the placement test then I blame the parents and educators before who have not prepared him. It boils down to this.

If a young man signs a substance abuse contract with consequences in it should you not hold the young man accountable? Does the punishment for the crime you ask. Is it so much of the tobacco? No sir it is a rule you broke that has consequence so stand up be a man and do the time that's stated for the crime. That is teaching a young man to be accountable

BTW Desales rejected applicants this year so they are Elitist by your defintion

All Tell. Ok pal I must ask you a question. So if you feel that you can not offer the programs or educate a student to their specific needs should you accept them or recommend them to go somewhere where they can get the attention they need?

Desales are getting kids not stealing kids. Desales is a great choice. They are an excellent school.

Standards of academics makes a school elitist. lol I will tell my southend family we are elitist. they will all be proud to know we made that list of elitist people in Louisville lol

Here ya go. I will bite. St. X follows their own set of guidelines when it comes to athletics. St. Xavier the school comes 1st. There would be no Football team if there wasn't a school 1st. That is Tiger mentality. A student of Trinity told me this. He said Trinity is better because you can go to St. X and get expelled for whatever reason and Trinity will take you. He then said St. X wont take you if Trinity expels you..... 1 instance of fundamental difference. St. Xavier has a placement exam to get into school. Trinity does as well but St. X actually turns kids away that do not score well enough. St. Xavier does not offer classes to accommodate students that are not in certain levels of classes. Trinity does offer classes for kids that have learning issues and therefore can accept kids with scores that St. X can not take in for academic reason. St. X will not accept a student they feel will not have the ability to graduate with the curriculum standards to make it to college. If a student graduates from St. Xavier the student will have met the prerequisites to be accepted into college. Donald Brooks is at a Prep school because according to him he is not academically stable to be in a 4 year college that is why he had no offers. just an example. James Quick and Jason Hatcher...yes they made it to college but their freshman year of college they get busted and Hatcher is suspended for the 1st 2 games this year for unspecific rule violations....just another black eye to football There are bad apples everywhere St. X does their best to eliminate them! I will say this. I would love to have all the best of the best athletes at St. X. It will never happen because of academic standards. St. X is a lot like Notre Dame and Stanford. The lower level academic athlete can not attend there. St. X is not a football factory. They are a factory of Students and Student Athletes. NOW am I jealous to not win every year? Am I upset? I will say this. I want to win and win we will. We win in swimming golf tennis wrestling baseball ect......Football we are successful. have we won recently? we have competed and we will get over the hump soon very soon! Heck St. X had Male on the ropes in the play offs a couple of seasons ago. St. X beat Trinity last season and just couldnt beat them in the playoffs. I am a X Man and I want a X Man leading my programs. I want X Men playing for St. X. That would be Men that want to be X Men not just come to a school to play football. I want a higher standard! That is what I want and have at St. X. last thing does anyone recall the incident with the wrestler at St. X in 2014. Lampey I think was his name. He was suspended for the wrestling regional and therefore couldnt wrestle in state where he was a 3 time state champion and a lock to win his 4th. That suspension probly cost St. X a state Championship. The kid had tobacco in his backpack.....Could that have been overlooked....yes! but it wasnt and I amm proud to say it wasnt. I want to be a part of a school that holds kids to a higher standard. That is St. X in a nutshell in my eyes. I am not mad at all I am just passionate about St. X! I support Coach Wolford, Coach Glaser or whomever the school deems to be the leader of the football team.
