Does anyone know who the Mr Soccer candidates are? If I was a voter I would go with Mabika, Day, Clemente, Fischer -

"CCH wins this easy. Cooper's defense is very shaky and CCH's back line is too good for Snow to beat all 4 of them. Unless Snow gets one off from distance or a set piece Cov Cath gets a shutout win 3-0." Where's my offer from ESPN? -

I believe its Dodgeball, LOL. But back to the actual topic, CCH wins this easy.bCooper's defense is very shaky and CCH's back line is too good for Snow to beat all 4 of them. Unless Snow gets one off from distance or a set piece Cov Cath gets a shutout win 3-0. -
#3 Henry Clay vs #8 Madison Central Thursday night for a chance to play in the 11th Region championship, Henry Clay beat Lexington Catholic tonight 4-0 and Madison Central beat Franklin County 3-0. Dunbar and Woodford both have easy first round games and should meet in the other regional semi. Predictions for individual games and for who you think will win the region?

Could you imagine a region tournament without Dunbar in it? I'd like to know the last time (if ever) thats happened. -
Clementé did not play and Roberts went out with an injury early in the 2nd half.

Oldham County makes the jump to #3 after beating DuPont Manual 7-2. Rankings are finally starting to remain the same heading into post season. Any thoughts? 1. Bowling Green 2 Henry Clay 3 Oldham County 4 Trinity (Louisville) 5 St. Xavier 6 Daviess County 7 Covington Catholic 8 Madison Central 9 Tates Creek 10 Montgomery County 11 South Oldham 12 Kentucky Country Day 13 Ballard 14 Manual 15 Woodford County 16 South Warren 17 Lafayette 18 Paul Laurence Dunbar 19 Mercer County 20 Hopkinsville

Dunbar got out to an early lead off a header from Norris. Woodford tied up in the 60th minute of a beautiful header and after a PK call 5 minutes later Woodford County took the 2-1 lead and held on for a great win for their program.

Letcher County Central 21 Buckhorn 0

Would love to see this team play a top Region 11, 7, or 9 team and get a taste of their own medicine. -
9/20/15 Maher Rankings
SoccerFan8 replied to Oldtimebaseball84's topic in KY Boys Soccer (High School)
Since OTB left just one important thing out of his post, the actual rankings, here they are. Bowling Green retakes the top spot after Trinity played two weaker teams this week. Dunbar drops to 10th after losing to Lexington Catholic. Ryle moves into the top 20 after tying Cov Cath. Madison Central makes a jump to #11 after beating West Jessamine, Cooper, Boyle County, and Woodford County this week. Any thoughts? What would your top 5-10 be? 1 Bowling Green 2 Trinity (Louisville) 3 Henry Clay 4 St. Xavier 5 Covington Catholic 6 Oldham County 7 Daviess County 8 South Oldham 9 DuPont Manual 10 Paul Laurence Dunbar 11 Madison Central 12 Woodford County 13 Kentucky Country Day 14 Montgomery County 15 Tates Creek 16 Bishop Brossart 17 Hopkinsville 18 Ryle 19 Louisville Collegiate 20 South Warren -
Lafayette scored a goal that hit the cross bar and bounced on the line and the play went on for a few seconds and the assistant ref called it a goal. South Oldham was their 2nd game of the day after playing Henderson County and a day after playing Bowling Green so fatigue may have played a part in that.

Most complete team to me seems to be Dunbar or Bowling Green. With Clementé on the field it is hard to say any team is better than Dunbar. Very solid keeper, a strong backline with Grabmeyer in the center, midfield plays well together with Roberts and Delgado out wide, and maybe the top forward in Ricky Clementé. Unless Ricky goes down (fingers crossed he does not) I do not see anyone beating Dunbar. I give Dunbar the edge over Bowling Green and Henry Clay just for the fact Bowling Green's back line is good not great and Henry Clay does not have a true go to goal scorer like they did with Ueland last year. Post season should be very exciting.

Lexington Catholic vs Dunbar South Warren vs South Oldham Cooper vs Madison Central Covington Catholic vs Boone County Any others? Predictions?

Trinity takes over the #1 spot after Dunbar and Bowling Green both were knocked off. Dunbar by Lafayette and Bowling Green by South Warren. Oldham County makes a huge jump into the top 10. Any thoughts? 1 Trinity (Louisville) 2 Bowling Green 3 Paul Laurence Dunbar 4 Henry Clay 5 St. Xavier 6 Covington Catholic 7 South Oldham 8 Oldham County 9 Daviess County 10 DuPont Manual 11 Woodford County 12 Tates Creek 13 Montgomery County 14 Ballard 15 South Warren 16 St. Henry 17 Kentucky Country Day 18 Louisville Collegiate 19 Madison Central 20 Mercer County

Taking the mantle from a former National league/ current University of Kentucky player doesn't sound like a bad gig. Morgan is one of the top players in the state. There is a reason he is going to Marshall next fall. You act as if Ronaldo has never taken a flop before. It gave his team a scoring opportunity and another goal for him on the season. The amount of CCH bias on this site is unbelievable. -
Covington Catholic 3 McNicholas (OH) 0

Do not be fooled by the score line of the Montgomery v Madison Central game. Montgomery had about 8 shots to Madison Central's 20 or so. Only difference was Shkrabba put the few chances he got in the back of the net. Two great results for Montgomery this week but I would be shocked if they will be able to do the same against the CCH back line -
Madison Central vs Montgomery County Predictions

I believe this is Kipchumba's first year playing, him, Dotson, and Netherton are a 3 headed monster up top for Madison Central. Fuller and Hill will be tough to contain in the mid field. Can't wait to see the final score line. -

Do you see MoCo winning any of those 3 games? -
Not a lot of movement inside the top 10, Daviess drops one spot to #9 after a loss to Bowling Green and Woodford jumps to #5 after a victory 1-0 over Tates Creek. Any thoughts? 1 Bowling Green 2 Paul Laurence Dunbar 3 Trinity (Louisville) 4 Henry Clay 5 Woodford County 6 South Oldham 7 St. Xavier 8 DuPont Manual 9 Daviess County 10 Covington Catholic 11 Tates Creek 12 Scott 13 Ballard 14 Madison Central 15 St. Henry 16 Montgomery County 17 Bishop Brossart 18 Louisville Collegiate 19 Kentucky Country Day 20 Mercer County

Ballard vs St X - Pick : St X Woodford vs Montgomery Co - Pick MoCo Bowling Green vs South Warren - 2-2 Draw. South Warren is very good defensively and has a speedster up top. Bowling Green should dominate midfield with the Aviles twins and if Arif is healthy he might be able to make something happen. Madison Central vs Montgomery Co - Pick Madison Central St Henry vs Ryle - Pick: St Henry Woodford vs South Oldham - Pick: SH Archbishop (OH) vs Cov Cath Pick: I do not know a whole lot about Archbishop but I have seen Cov Cath play, can anyone help me with this one? Scott vs Cooper Pick: Cooper -
Top 10 11th Region Players?

Aamer Shalash from Tates Creek is one of the best, plays on Lexington FC White. I believe Alexander Alonso is the name of Dunbar's goalie.
