SoccerFan8
There is no debate that the 11th Region is the toughest in the state, but who are the top players in the region? Here is my list, in no order Ricky Clemente - Dunbar - F Collin Rose - Henry Clay - M Aimé Mabika - Henry Clay - M/D Connor Roberts - Dunbar - M Jax Young - Woodford Co - F Cubaka Mutayongwa -Tates Creek-M Dylan Dotson - Madison Central - F Nick Sir Louis - Lafayette - M Amadi Mubelela - Tates Creek - F Harrison Grabmeyer - Dunbar - D Chris Hunt - Henry Clay - D/M Will Newton - Sayre - F
Yellow Card
So which 2 need to be dropped from the list?
SoccerFan8
Oops, my mistake. Sir Louis and Grabmeyer would be honorable mentions. Sir Louis is a very poised and smart junior midfielder and Grabmeyer has great size and make good decisions out of the back, also a junior. Coachsutherland
Peyton Netherton and Luc Powell should be added to this list from Madison Central As well as Jason Murillo from Woodford

Sir!
Region 11 may be stronger top to bottom, but are the top four teams from Region 11 (Dunbar, Henry Clay, Woodford County, Tates Creek) any more or less difficult to get by than the top four teams from Region 7 (Trinity, St. X, Dupont Manual, Ballard)? Sir!
How about Tanner Kidwell from Madison Southern?
SoccerFan8
Region 11 may be stronger top to bottom, but are the top four teams from Region 11 (Dunbar, Henry Clay, Woodford County, Tates Creek) any more or less difficult to get by than the top four teams from Region 7 (Trinity, St. X, Dupont Manual, Ballard)? I think the LexCath/Trinity score answers this question.
SoccerFan8
How about Tanner Kidwell from Madison Southern? Kid has a high motor on him and a nose for goal, only problem is he does not have much support from his teammates. Definitely would be on the honorable mention list. Sir!
I think the LexCath/Trinity score answers this question. I think it actually supports my contention. LexCath is not one of the top 4 in Region 11, but being further down the pecking order in Region 11 were still able to play Trinity close ("Region 11 is stronger top to bottom"). LexCath had, but couldn't hold, a 2 goal lead. The ability to come back against a reasonably good opponent when down by 2 goals is the kind of performance and character that makes Regional champs. Trinity is not IMO ss strong as they were last year, but I still think they are top 4 in Region 7 and probably Top 10 in the state. It doesn't look like there are any regular season match ups between the presumptive top four in Region 7 and the top four in Region 11, so until state tournament we'll have to rely on scores with common opponents, coaches polls, Maher Rank or some other voodoo analysis to argue whether the top end of either Region 7 or 11 can claim dominance over the other. I stand by my assertion... Region 11 overall stronger top to bottom; top 4 in Region 7 and 11 much closer.
burberry
Goalies always seemed to be overlooked. I don't know names but I know that Dunbar, Sayre, and Woodford have some of the best in the region. Anyone know names?

I don't know names but I know that Dunbar, Sayre, and Woodford have some of the best in the region. Anyone know names? Aamer Shalash from Tates Creek is one of the best, plays on Lexington FC White. I believe Alexander Alonso is the name of Dunbar's goalie.
burberry
Just got names. Batman for Woodford. Goodman for Sayre. If info correct, Goodman won 3 straight states for LFC before stepping away for basketball. Batman, is goalie at high school for same LFC coach of Goodman and is very tough.
