Teams to watch this end of state? Hopkinsville and Calloway both made it past regional last year and return strong teams. Graves has solid returning team. Traditionally Marshall has been strong. Mccracken on the rise? Thoughts?

McCracken Co with 3 wins, over Collins, Franklin and Louisville Male.

Does anyone have any ideas? U16 male. I would be willing to drive to Clarksville Evansville etc. We are just kind of in a void down here. Club has some training but he wants more.

Motion to create a Western West Region team. Surely there would be one kid west of Owensboro that would deserve at least honorable mention. Unless I am wrong, no players selected from anywhere in the Pennyrile region.

What's the difference between All Coaches and All State?

I'll just wait over here now....by myself... lol.. fyi..out team had 9. We played some tough teams and some not so tough. I did notice Hopkinsville had maybe 12? Maybe more. They had very good defensive team. It's just hard to come up with defensive stats..saves etc since it's more subjective than goals scored. I think..maybe..possibly.... lol

Um.. sorry. Really I was just looking at what categories KHSAA has records for. Consecutive shutouts was one and team season shutouts was another. Since scorers usually get all the glory, I was looking at some of the defensive records.

The KHSAA records start with a minimum of 12. Did any teams come close this year?

Not sure about Henderson but Calloway is a very young team. Mostly underclassmen. GK is sophisticated and leading scorer is soph. They beat a Mccracken team which is also very young. Soph GK and most scorers young. That being said Calloway can play physical game.

Thank you for explanation. It makes perfect sense. Your goalie should not HAVE to make double-digit saves. I just though it was curious that was not listed as a stat. I am assuming that would not be the best measure of goalie skill.

Why is there no stat for saves per game?

It was nice to see team win big after winning twice in Pks. Saves by the keeper for Mccracken and great shots by the kickers saved the day twice in district matches.

Sorry I was not clear. Let's say a 6 team district. The team in line for #2 seed is forced to forfeit all regular season games thereby hypothetically ending up as 6 seed going into district tourney. In that case the #1 team would have to play the former #2 team. That seems like it's penalizing the #1 team by forcing a tougher game.

What would happen if a team had to forfeit all games..including district matches? Would that team be allowed in post season play?
