Team shutouts this year?

Featured Replies

The KHSAA records start with a minimum of 12. Did any teams come close this year?

So that means they gave up 17 goals in the other 10 games? That's not real impressive.

They have played 25 to date, so it would actually be 17 goals in the other 11 matches. I really think you need to look at the season as a whole, if you pick and choose what you want it is pretty easy to paint many different pictures.

If I look at your teams stats, and take away your teams 8 shutouts, your GPM average jumps from 1.0 to 1.73. Or, we could look at it the same way you did for CCH, you gave up 19 goals in the other 11 matches... looks like you gave up just a little more than CCH did when you look at it the same way.... :speechless:

The only difference is I don't constantly brag about how good my sons team is ( not mine team ,but his). Yes CCH is good and everyone knows it that's why I bring it up . Not every one has the luxury of having 600 boys to choose from you should have a good team with a solid defense.

And there is only the chance that the colonels numbers will get closer to your teams because they are still playing

So we will put you down for a "no" on the jumping in the nky bandwagon thread

If I understand you correctly...

You are saying that CCH, maybe even any school with 600 boys, should have a good team with a solid defense.

It also seems like you have a problem with someone bragging about their sons team but I guess you are good with putting another teams accomplishments down.

No I am a fan of CCH my son has played with MANY of the boys from the team and I am proud to say that.

I have never put anyone's accomplishments down only supplying an opinion and stating facts. After all it's a kids game after its all said and done all that matters is that they had fun playing it for as long as they could.

Um.. sorry. Really I was just looking at what categories KHSAA has records for. Consecutive shutouts was one and team season shutouts was another. Since scorers usually get all the glory, I was looking at some of the defensive records.

I blame you justwondering1. You had to ask a sensible question.

Ok.....maybe it is the sinus medicine....or the crappy weather outside, but for some reason, this gets to me.....

Please tell me how naming how many shutouts CCH had......in answer to a direct question from someone about how many shutouts teams had........is "constantly bragging about how good my sons team is" (post 6).....

You mention in post 10 that you "you have never put anyone's accomplishments down and are only stating opinions and facts".......isn't that what I did in post 2 when I mentioned a number of the shutouts CCH had (fact) ...and then you jumped all over it?

......and quite frankly, the "facts" and "stats" that you used were skewed to fit your "opinion". I could have removed the 6 goals given up to Ohio teams, because this is a Ky forum.......but that wouldn't be the real story , would it......

Ugg.....

Ahhhh.... shut-outs are over-rated. Just score one more than the other team and keep on playing!

There are a bunch of teams that haven't given up a goal since the first round of Regionals!

.... and a bunch haven't scored a goal since the first round of Regionals either.
