Anybody remember a time when kids actually stayed put and didn't change teams? Seroiusly, I am asking. I am from Christian County so I don't know what that was like. :lol:

I saw Chris Jung post on twitter about the Western Kentucky All-Stars playing against an Indiana All-Stars team. I didn't have anything else to do so I made the trip to Hopkins Central to watch the boys game. I caught the end of the girls game, which wasn't much of an all-star game and was frankly hard to watch. I was a little upset that only 1 player from the 8th district was on a team that lacked actual all-stars. That was just the start I am afraid. The boys team lacked actual all-stars as well, with the exception of Shorty Cager, Detorrion Ware and Ware from Henderson. The biggest omission of the night? The Indiana All-Stars!!! The boys game turned out to be 2nd/3rd Region vs. 4th Region (only Russellville, Bowling Green and Warren Central players). If this is what this series has come to it needs to end. If they want to keep what is left of the actual Kentucky vs. Indiana game go ahead but these regional games are a waste of time and the $10 for me and my kid. Rant over.

We All Can Go or WACG as some may know is a Nike team too. Does anyone know the reason he switched to Boo Williams? Maybe there's not a connection anymore with Adair County's coach.

Going back home?

Coach Eades was with us at Christian County for a few years. He wasn't a very good fit for us but I think he should do well at Muhlenberg County. If I am not mistaken he is a Muhlenberg County alum.

It has been quiet around here. None of my county people have said anything about it and the Hoptown guy I heard it from hasn't said anything else. It may just be all smoke and he stays at UHA. We will see.

Carlos Hurt from Louisville Moore was top 5 I believe. I know he made the McDonald's game.

He is the most talented player from my hometown in a very long time. The rumor mill is already turning about KyKy leaving UHA. I haven't been able to sort through the nonsense yet to tell if we should expect him in a Hoptown or County uniform yet though.

Henderson County and Bowling Green

Yes. Henderson County will be the host. This will be their best chance to break the streak.

An easy district and easier route to the region tournament each year puts you in the conversation for top teams in the region but in no way does it make you a top 25 program in the state. State prestige is defined by state success. Top 25 program in the state means that we see you playing at Rupp Arena on a regular basis. That is all fine and good that you guys in "The Berg" hang your hats on region tournament appearances and district championships in an easy district. The schools that truly are Top 25 hang their hat on region championships and deep runs at Rupp.

Outside of the Muhlenberg County lines there is no one else that thinks this is a top 25 program. Consolidation did not change much for basketball other than the uniform color and number of teams in the county. Top 25 programs do not have head coaches leaving for places like South Warren or Ohio County.

I can agree with this. No way is it top 25 though.

"The Berg" is not a top 25 job in the state. Coach Stovall left for a top 25 job at Christian County. If it were a top 25 job you would not have coaches leaving voluntarily for what they thought were better situations. Coach Stovall just left for a better job at Christian County. Before him Coach Hopper left for South Warren before coming back to your district rival Ohio County. That doesn't seem top 25 to me.

He left to be an assistant coach at Muhlenberg County. I believe that is where he is from. I'm sure I will have to eat my words by saying he wouldn't be interested in coming back. This hire really surprised me. I know that is who we all wanted but I am still surprised.

Tough job = off the court and discipline issues

I had been hearing rumors of Coach Smith leaving as early as January this season. There was a lot of internal issues with team chemistry so this doesn't surprise me. In regards to Kerry Stovall, I don't think he makes a return. We have a tough job here and I think Coach Stovall is at the point in his career where he doesn't want those issues. I would love to see him come back but I don't believe it will happen.

He said "The Greatest Show in Hoops". That's the motto for the KHSAA Sweet 16 FYI.

As crazy as that is it would not surprise me in today's world.

This is why Chris Jung is one of the best in the business.

Haworth one of the best coaches in the nation? That's a stretch. I wouldn't even go so far to say that he is one of the best in the state. I have been watching his teams play in our district for years.
