I have sent mine to the Essentials camp (which is the prerequisite for Point Guard Camp) and to PG Camp. It is probably one of the best around in it's approach to teaching the game. It is not cheap, and if your just looking for a camp to go to, probably not the one. If your child has a LOVE for the game (really makes a difference) they will come back talking about it non stop and you won't be able to keep them out of the gym. The instructors are top notch and the experience has been a good one of us. Best of luck:thumb:

Just for excitement I will go with Sloan. He is explosive off the dribble, is very quick on the defensive end, and get to the rim and dunk if needed (not bad for a 5'11ish kid). He can also bomb from the outside. He is always fun to watch. I am looking forward to just seeing the other 9 teams that I didn't get to see this year. It should be a great tournament.:ylsuper:

I will venture to say that Sloan will. He is so deceptive, he can "look" totally uninterested in the game and go from to sloth to road runner in a second. Have been watching HS ball for 35 years and have seen maybe 2 faster. He is explosive off the dribble and to the rim, and can bomb from deep. Goodin is good......Sloan is just as good. I am not a TC fan, but I have to respect what is on the court.

I will have to go with Trinity. I have been underestimating them all year and I think with the schedule they have played this year puts them in a great position to do well. They play great team defense and really know how to disrupt the flow of a game. They have good senior leadership in Schmitt, but their success depends on their ability to shoot the 3 ball. NCC has a great player in Weyer but I will go with Trinity to move on in this game. If you haven't seen Jacob King play for Trinity, you are in for a real treat. Not big at all, but has a great IQ and I real solid handle and shooting game.

 WINNER.......love it lol I'll go with TC, they have been playing better basketball and half 2 guards that can take over a game at any given time. The addition of Gains has seem to fill in the deficiency they had earlier in the season. I'll have to play the I know nothing of Mason Co. card, other then hearing and reading about Pig Williams and his ability to play the game. Going with Taylor Co. to move on.

I don't know how to post to the link so you can see it, but on Jason Frakes twitter feed he has the video. If somebody could help me out I would appreciate it:thumb: A 75 foot shot off a missed free throw with 1.2 seconds left to tie the game for Ballard and send it into overtime. It was unbelievable!!!!:taz::taz::taz::taz:

article 6th Region Tournament Preview

I agree. I think anybody who followed this region didn't give Desales a chance against PRP or any of the other teams. A surprise to even be here, but then again, that is why we play the games. BE played angry yesterday and I think wanted to make a statement which they did. They have everything needed to dance, they just need to keep the focus. After last night, I think they will make quick work of Desales and move forward. The Doss/FC game will be a dogfight and should be fun to watch. Again hard to pick because of the inconsistency of FC, but when they play I like their game a lot. Wales being out hurts, but the Kobe Stanton (another Sophomore) has been playing very well stepping in for Wales. I'll sit back and enjoy this one and hope that the winner of this one goes dancing. -

I agree BE still the favorite but I think all 3 of the other contenders give BE problems and could make life difficult. Doss is playing very well and could easily move on. Fern Creek is still a game to game guess, when they play like they are capable, I could see them coming out on top, my only reservation is their ability to string together 3 consistent games. PRP is really my choice of the "upset" winner to move on. Coaching is always a plus for them, but I think that each game and practice that Hill gets back in the flow, after sitting waiting on his appeal, makes PRP that much more dangerous. He only had 8 pts last time out, but was fighting some cramping issues. I think he will be a bigger part of PRP going forward and could be the addition that brings them to Rupp. Time will tell but it sets up to be a great region tournament. -
I think PRP is the real wild card. They are playing well right now, and with the addition of Hill (who I think was able to play last night for the first time since the transfer) they could make life tough for BE should BE get past North. I think a Doss/FC matchup would be a sufficating "D" lovers dream game. Who comes out on top, I would probably say Doss, only because FC has had a hard time putting together consecutive consistant games this year. I'll go with Doss to come out of the region, but I wouldnt be suprised if it was somebody else. Should be fun watching it all unfold.

I agree, Fern Creek came to play last night and BE never got into an offensive flow. Alot of that had to do with FC defensive pressure and the speed of FC provided alot of easy buckets under the basket. FC has been anything but consistant this year, it will be interesting to see if they can continue to play at this level. BE has all the pieces to get to the big dance, they better start figuring out how to fit them all together. Both the 6th and the 7th regionals should be great with both having no clear cut favorite at this stage.

Great work as always. Have seen just about all the 6th and 7th play games this year, being in the Louisville area, and I always enjoy your write-ups. Bullitt East is defiantly the team to beat going forward and Doss a clear second. Fern Creek, to me, continues to baffle....nice size and length, good guard play ( love Tony Washington), but man inconsistent doesn't even begin to describe them.
