  1. Long Jump, 55, 100, 200 and 400 state champ I believe.
  2. Jairus just received an offer from Duke:thumb: He will have MANY more before all said and done, you can't teach 4.3 - 4.4 speed Game one of this year stats: 6 catches for 177 yards and 3 TD's 2 rushes for 41 yards Kickoff return 85 yards 1 TD Punt Return 74 yards 1 TD Best of luck to him for the rest of the year!!!
  3. I agree transfer rules defiantly need a check, but this is about as clear a non transfer issue as you can get. He left to play out of state, moved back and returns to the same school he left from. Not like any of the others at all. But I get your point for the most part.
  4. I think his attitude and the reflection of what was posted above has seemed to change over the summer. I have always been a fan of Moore's game, but didn't like how he carried himself at times. Watching him this summer, I saw a much more mature attitude and he was very efficient in his scoring and shot selection. I think Fern Creek is getting a better version of then when he was at Eastern. GoHard hit the nail on the head, they will be able to score with anyone in the state, how hard they choose to play "D" is how far they choose travel during tournament time. And if they don't play it, it wont be because of the coach.
  5. Yes he is a guard, I would say 6' 1", 6' 2" range. I just think he probably has the most upside on that team.
  6. Sloan to Ballard is a big deal just because of who he is, no doubt he is one of the best in the state. But I would have to go with the transfer Moore from Eastern to Fern Creek. They were already a very good team and adding him puts them in Rupp land for sure if they can gel together. I heard yesterday that Fern Creek also got in an out of state transfer who is a 7 footer:eek:. Maybe those closer to the program can tell us if that is true or not. For the sake of everybody else, I hope not:isurrender:
  7. Tony, a junior, picked up his first offer from EKU. There is a lot of talk on this board about little known/unknown players. I promise, if you haven't heard of him yet, you will. Smooth, athletic, smart basketball IQ, can shoot and take it to the rack with power. Fern Creek is loaded, but in my opinion, he is the best of the bunch. Really glad for him, great kid with a very bright future.:thumb:
  8. his final 4 schools were: UAB UNC- Ashville Clemson EKU Also Samford, WKU, Leigh, SE Missouri St, Miami (Ohio) and maybe a few others
  9. Like HoopJunkie said, this is a great fit. He should get a great opportunity to play and contribute in a big way that wouldn't have been there if he chased the "big school" ring. Having just moved to Richmond I am looking forward to watching him grow as a college player :thumb:
  10. Is now back at Waggener. Should be interesting in the 7th region this year.
  11. That seems to be the only thing that would keep him from being one of the best players in the state for the next couple of years. He is the only kid I have seen currently in High School that can change a game from any position on the field. He can throw for a touchdown, return punt or kickoff for a touchdown, intercept a pass for a touchdown, or come out of the backfield or as a receiver for a touchdown. He did all of those things last year as a freshman. He is one of those type of players that every time he touches it, you expect something very good to happen. I believe he will be a very special high school player when all is said and done IF he stays healthy.
  12. I wish him the best of luck. They should do well in the 5th, but way too many holes in both players game to go any further. Trace is a great athlete, and he can jump out of the gym, but the games I have seen him play, he is a take away the drive and make him shoot type of player from 15 feet and out, and he doesn't seem to shoot it very well. Jackson on the other hand doesn't have a spot on the floor that he doesn't think he cant make it from. He puts up a lot of points, but he takes ALOT of shots. Again, just my observations based on the 4-5 times I have seen both of them play. I am not a big fan of the AAU mentality of school switching in HS, but in most cases I don't think it works because the best HS basketball teams that go on to play at state, play a structured game on both ends and not the AAU style of run up and down the court no defensive that most AAU games have become, regardless, it should be a fun year for sure.
  13. This is a great program and a great fit for him. Perfect example of choosing a program you can make a contribution to on the court, as opposed to trying to grab the bigger name scholarship and watching from the bench. Best of luck to him!
  14. I know the first thing my son said, he is a guard, was the feel and touch were awful for the new balls. The old balls were soft and had a good dribble feel he said, easy to pass off the bounce and get it into the shooting pocket to shot. The new ball, I purchased one for him, is very hard, and very slick, which makes life harder for a person who relies on the feel of the ball to help his game. Any way, just thought I would throw his thoughts out there since he has played with both. He is NOT a fan.
  15. Thanks, I almost posted it here. He is going to be going to Madison Central, enrolling today. I am looking forward to having a fun year. Hope we cross paths.
  16. I have had the opportunity to watch some great HS basketball in Louisville over the last 9 years or so. My family and I will be heading to Richmond to call it home. Lucky for me, I'll still get to see some great basketball, and even better, I'll get to see my son play in it. He will be a Junior and is looking forward to the new school and the new challenge. I am looking forward to watching him play and watching some other fantastic players. I am also hoping to run across a few BGPer's in the gyms of the area. Can't wait for the season to start. :ylsuper::taz::popcorn: Wasn't sure where to post this, so this is where I landed :idunno:
  17. and one stuffed with padding and the other applied directly to the boards. These balls are just bad, my son, a PG, hates them and I think most other players will as well
  18. This should be interesting, because there are definitely some talented kids if they decide to start moving
  19. Coop picked up another offer from Florida International University. He is having a solid summer.
  20. They will defiantly be the 6th favorite, although Doss will likely do it's best to make it not so. Moore comes over from Eastern and adds great height 6' 5", length and can shoot the ball from deep. I think they have 2 of the best unknown players in the state, both Juniors, Anthony Wales (Samford commit) and Tony Rogers . Add another really good player in Ahmad Price and you might be hard pressed to find 3 better guards on any team. Add a couple good 6' 6" bigs to the mix and this team is built to win. All are great kids, and I think any trouble they have sharing the ball or coming together, will be bested by their desire to win, and win as a team. Should be really fun to watch, and the other teams better be ready to play, they will be relentless and fast.
  21. JR Mathis – PG Louisville Kentucky County Day got an offer from the Navy Academy. Great guard who isn't widely known
  22. picked up another offer - UNC Wilmington Congrats:thumb:
  23. Your knowledge of KY HS football is impressive, but I think palls in comparison to your ability to rhyme and write!!!! Great work.
