It seems they also had a player named Rose. is that correct? He was a good player himself. They might have played with some small colleges that year. They were that strong.

I remember that magical year Grant co. had going for it in1979 -80. Went into the sweet 16 like 32 and 1. But as luck would have it drew the Generals right out of the box. They played neck and neck with them for a quarter and then they came down on a fast break and Dirk threw a sky high lob to wilson that he rattled the backboard with. The braves mouths just kinda flew open and it was like CHECK PLEASE !!!. Game over.I honestly believe We could have beaten any of the other 14 teams and we actually might have played them as close as anyone else did. They were awesome.

Not sure whats going on with my alma mater but it seems we`ve turned a good start into a meltdown of epic proportions.

Craziest thing I ever saw was when I was playing in the 8th grade , one of our players Dad came barging in our locker room at halftime. Seems he had drew up a handful of plays to give our coach. And guess what , you got it they were all designed with his son as the benefactor .I know the boy felt about 2 inches tall at the time. Our coach was nice about it and didn`t have him thrown out. It was probably a wise move . This guy was a pure nut job and wound up doing about 20 years for manslaughter.

Henry Co. gym to me was always special. When I was a kid going over there seemed like you were in Madison square gardens. During regional tournament time the place was electric. It reminds me of so many of those gyms up in Indiana. The ones that used to fill up every game.I might add that I went down to the Marshall Co. hoop fest and came away in awe of their gym. It`s a great venue.

I`ve been a long time follower on this board. I decided to sign up last night. Something tells me that Owen Co. might do better than some believes in the All A. I don`t think they can play with New Cath , but I don`t feel there is anyone else that they can`t match up well with. Carson is the real deal.I know he`s a tweener but the kid plays his butt off.
